Teh dox:

Vendetta Presents: The Do-It-Yourself Rambo Revisited GFX Compo Entry kit!

Released on August 21st, 2011.

Are you tired of seeing these graphics compos come and go without having the skill, time or patience to release something to an adoring scene?

Sick of watching skilled artists rake in kudos while you sit there writhing in envy of their practiced pixelings?

Well, fret no more! Your artistic impotence is over!
This do-it-yourself compo kit is just the thing to assuage the shame and humiliation of failing to ejaculate a beautiful picture onto the back of the Commodore 64 community.

Here's how!

Included in this kit is a hi-res illustration of a Rambo-like silhouette. On and around that silhouette are instructions on what to draw. The difficult part-- the concept-- is done for you. All you have to do now is draw Rambo and let the accolades wash over you like a sea of vomity green sick.

Draw Rambo where you see the silhouette. Make sure you follow the directions outlined on the silhouette itself (Draw Rambo, use skill).

Outside of the silhouette are background suggestions. (Okay, not really "suggestions". I meant to write "demands").

For example, where you see "big ass explosion", draw a big ass explosion. Where you see "carefully antialiased background" draw an antialiased background. Color suggestions (demands) are also mentioned. Now draw it!

See how simple that is?

With a few minutes effort, you will have a picture of Rambo that even your mother will be proud of. She will want to hang it on her icebox, even if she is dead and you are in your forties.

FNAQ:

Q: Is this a REAL release?

A: You downloaded it, didn't you? Why are you bothering me with this? Why aren't you drawing Rambo?

Q: You do realize that this so-called "release" is going to piss off the serious-minded "scene", don't you?

A: Short answer: Yup. Most will see the screenshot on the CSDb and rail on it. They won't ever read this and then they will never know how to draw Rambo. So screw them.

Q: Um... okay. What was your inspiration for this?

A: The style is drawn from Matt Groening's early work, "Life in Hell," where he would write text heavy, crudely drawn and disorganized satirical comic strips. The only thing mine is missing is a single-eared rabbit. And humor.

Q: So this is some sort of vanity bullshit thing, huh.

A: Yup.

I think the entry speaks for itself. Now everyone can enter the Rambo Revisited Compo with very little fuss and muss! Read the docs, follow them TO THE LETTER, and the result will be an excellent compo pic worthy of some sort of prize.
