Wow! Have not seen this so far. This is absolutely outstanding. The only thing that look a bit off to me (mainly because this seems to be made with a slightly weird palette) is that the brown in the top left and around the blood would work better if it was orange. Very minor point though. Brilliant work. | User Comment Submitted by Frantic on 11 November 2014 User Comment Submitted by Tom-Cat on 11 November 2014
WOW. A Multicolor picture that puts most FLI pictueres to shame :) One of my favorite c64 pictures. | User Comment Submitted by Reekol on 15 July 2014 User Comment Submitted by bepp on 11 January 2014

Cool GIF! Like an animation on how the gun's backfire pushes him back and the scene emerges from his shots. Ending with a splash of blood on the wall :) | User Comment Submitted by Robin Levy on 31 December 2013
Thank you all for the nice comments.
In case any are interested here is a GIF of the development of the image.
It starts out as a freehand sketch done in PROmotion... follishly I started touching it up with a full black to white gradient without thinking about the 8x8 bitmap limitations.
Then followed is a week of messing around trying to find a decent way of working (I am more than a little bit rusty) - there's bits of photoshop there but primarilly I settled on using Project One to finish it off.
I've no idea if the image is going to show | User Comment Submitted by cbmeeks on 25 June 2013 User Comment Submitted by Jok on 21 April 2013
screenshot is wrong, c64 does not have colors like that
nice pic anyway | User Comment Submitted by Perplex on 27 March 2013
Absolutely stunning!
Also, the palette used in this picture makes me need to rethink the colour index detection algorithm in my own image conversion tool, damnit. :) | User Comment Submitted by algorithm on 27 March 2013
Robin is certainly not scared of trying color combinations that most gfx artists tend not to use. He does this in style. I am curious to know what he uses for pixelling now. I believe in the 90's it was vidcom64? | User Comment Submitted by PAL on 27 March 2013
