Text from The Benn Daglish Demo

Description:Main scrolltext in full
Text:Greetings and welcome to the Benn Daglish Commodore Zone music demo! All coding by Waz of Zaw Productions, with the music remaining copyright of Benn Daglish and being used with his permission. Oh, yes, there's also a Zaw Productions tune somewhere! Should your mind be warp factored, pressing keys 1 to 0 will start the tune of your choice. For the '64 trivia freaks out there, 'City', 'Egypt' and 'Galactic Stranger' later turned up on the Rino game 'Bombo', 'Rainbow Dragon' is from the Firebird game of the same name, 'Sid Will Rock You' and 'Bite The Dust' are Queen cover versions, 'Who?' is of course the Doctor Who theme, 'Cachapaya' is a cover of some eighties hit by Incantation (why couldn't Nine Inch Nails have been around then?) and the other two tunes are from WE MUSIC Demo 1. Final fact for triv freaks is that WE MUSIC stands for 'We Make Use of Sound In Computers', yes indeedy!

So what has been happening at Zaw Towers since I last wrote a scrolltext? Well, in December Dan (also known as Danny G of Suicyco Industries) was round at the Towers and I'd made us some pasta to scoff. I suggested that it would be brill to sprinkle some parmesan cheese on... except the whole container full tipped out in one go, removing its lid in the process. Whoops! Chortle! We also went to see Skunk Anansie at Manchester University in January and managed to get fifteen credits on the Star Trek Next Generation pinball machine in the Serpent bar, mainly cos we know the path to the extra ball on the holodeck program subgame! If you play the machine and want to know how to get this extra ball, get in touch!! Anyway, Skunk Anansie were rather brilliant. Did they rock? They certainly did. Cool concert moment number three: Skin, the lead singer of Skunk Anansie decided to stagedive a lot for fun and upon returning from one dive she said 'Someone punched me in the nose. I enjoyed that!'. Chuckle! The good thing was all our faves such as 'I Can Dream', 'Little Baby Swastikka' and the song encores were made for, 'Skunk Song' (with Dan and I pogoing around ten foot high!) were played so we were a tad chuffed.

Talking of which, aren't you happy now Take That have split up? Only problem now is that there's Boyzone to contend with as well... Still, at least you can work out what they're saying, unlike Bjork 'eeeble! squeeeble!' Gudmundsdottir. Please reform the Sugarcubes now and save your career!

Why is it that Mystic Meg never correctly predicts lottery winners? She says 'blah blah brings luck this week for Taurus' so with me being Taurean I think I'm going to win. Do I? Nope. Not a bean. She may as well twitter 'Someone in this country will be celebrating tooooo.'

Cool concert moment number four: Frank Black played live at Manchester University and was superb. (Get his latest solo CD 'The Cult Of Ray'!) Anyway, he went that dool that he had to use three different guitars as he kept breaking the strings cos of his mental axemanship!! But what was cool that there was me and lots of Pixies/Frank Black diehards at the front, so while we waited for him to come on, it was sing-a-long-a-Pixies which was ace. 'Isla De Encanta' was the funniest cos none of us could quite manage the Hispanic bits...

I can't believe Catchphrase is back on TV. Roy Walker is even less talented than Pulp and lo and behold came his phrase 'Watch the screen, here's your first catchphrase!' Kenz has nicknamed this programme 'Clagphrase', and talking of Kenz, here he is...

Yowza Wazzle, here's the current greets list for you to whop in yer scroller (Oooo! Sounds painful!) Weyhey!! to: Alf Yngve, Andy 'No spare pants left' Roberts, Apex, Benn Daglish, Betrayer, Billy Cassidy, Captain Kirk, Chris Lightfoot, Crack / Fantasys, Damian Steele, Danny G, Dave 'Dibble-Dabble' Mez, Daz Shaw, Demi-God, Doomlord, Equinox, FeekZoid, Ferris!, Frank Gasking, Frostie, Greg White, Iain Black, Jason 'Bok bok aaarp - splutch!' Kelk, Jonathan Woods, Jorden Van Der Elst, Lee 'Massive plate of Chinese nosh' Collett, Lee Elliot, Levi Jack, Luke, Mad, Martin Galway, Mat 'Toasty!' Recardo, Merman, Natalie 'Cabaret' Robb, Nicola 'Weird dream!' Bell, Nuke, Paul and Ryan / PC Software, Paul Kubiszyn / XL.C.US, Peter 'Creator' Adams, Russ 'Pink hair at the moment' Michaels, Sean Bailey, Shane 'Boffin' Brady, Simon Hillam, Sonia '9 fingers hair' Morris, Steve Renehan, Tim Wright, Tony 'Drunk and Disorderly' Gibbs and last but by no means least, Waz 'Wreck that meal' Pilkington (that's moi! - Waz.) Snogs etc go to the gorgeous pouting Gillian Anderson who I still adore ... She is sooooo ... Cute!
Thanks Kenz for that little lot, now my hellos. Yaay! to: Emma 'shoot that singer in Bis!' Lawley, Danny 'you must concentrate' Gillgrass, Kenz, Andy 'I live at Sony me' Roberts, Mikey and Steve in Powercuts (thanks for the Garbage promo press file dudes!), Gary 'decor mania' Thompson, Jessica 'coughing phlegm' Read, Leila 'plug myself in-ah!' Abbas, Andy 'plug that band in-ah!' Startin, and any fans of Garbage....

yep, I went to see Garbage live at Manchester Apollo and they were rather ace. I've had their album since it was released last October (most other people were sad and bought Oasis!) and it really is brill.. so me and my friend Emma went along. Cool concert moment number five was that while support band Bis (who are clag!) played, they had various people slagging them off. During one song where Bis' girlie singer screamed a lot (worse than Bjork - believe it!) some people yelled out 'get off you fat cow!' and when she announced they were playing their last song everyone went 'Yaaay!' Classic!

Thumbs up to Duke Erikson, Steve Marker, Butch Vig and the ever so lovely Shirley Manson of Garbage for being ace live! Is Erkan Mustafa (Roland Browning in those Grange Hill repeats) an earlier version of 'Statto' or what? Are Oasis bis? Am I running out of things to say? The answer is yes to all three, or something, huh huh. So a final lyric from Garbage to end this message: "I'm only happy when it wraps..."
