Thx 2 all the guests, sponsors, remote competitors!

Though some ubersceners might still not really take our little event seriously (nor do we ourselves take ourselves too seriously which might be one of the reasons why a certain kind of guys keep coming to BCC every year), BCC is getting better and better every year imho. And we know that we owe this 2 you!

Really enjyoing sleeping next to my gf again yesterday night (cuddling with my old room mate Thunder.Bird in one bed was more intimate than in our community time) and needin some more days for curing my hangover, I'm already lookin' 4wd to meet you all again and maybe even more new guys next year.

We'll do our best to learn from this year's minor problems (printer trouble is the only thing I was a little mad about for a few minutes...) to make BCC#7 even better once again.

CU there!

Thank you all - it was one of the most enjoyable parties I had in the last 3 years!

A few words about attendance:
There might not be enough tables to place ppl who wanna bring own hardware and didn't register by now (either here or at F64 or via mail or whatever) in the main party room. However, there's also a bar and a chillout room which we can use. For live coding I even recommend the chillout lounge. :)

A few words about accomodation:
For those interested in comfort and silence during the nights: There is only 1 place in the local appartment left to book (1 night is €30, 2 nights €50). But still you might even as late as now spontaneously find rather cheap hotels nearby, February is not really the time for tourists. In case of emergency, you can of course also party all night long or sleep wherever you drank yourself into coma. In the appartment, there is an own bathroom with shower, other guests can use the shower in the church's (yes, the party is in the attic of a rather huge church) doorway. Of course there's bathrooms with toilets and sinks at the party place itself. EDIT Appartment guests won't need to bring any bedclothing!

A few words about entrance fee:
Good news: there won't be any obligatory entrance fee. However we need/recommend/expect a voluntary donation of about 10 € to make this party possible without going bankrupt. You can be sure that we're not aiming at getting rich but just trying to pay the rent for the location. Any surplus - in the unlikely case there is any - will be invested in future BCC parties. You decide on your own what you can and want to spare. If you're short of cash, give 5€ or whatever you can. Yuppies like me are even allowed to pay more than the recommended amount. :) EDIT: IIRC - In former years, we didn't charge the apartment guests any additional fee besides the rent to support the ppl from far away. So - having no official fee at all anymore - we of course understand if appartment guests donate less or nothing. Attending events outside Berlin ourselves, we are aware that fuel/tickets also cost money. Remember: There is really no official fee and the donation is really voluntary and can be done absolutely anonymously! We hope that this voluntary system works. If it doesn't, it's more or less our fault and we might have some trouble, but we believe in your generosity! :D

EDIT No entrance fee also means you must take care for food and drinks on your own. Herrmanstraße (very close) is one of the most alive streets of Berlin. Not only can you buy beer 24-7 at kiosks (in Berlin "Spätkauf") or eat fastfood in more than 100 döner kebap stores or other snack bars but there's even a shopping mall including a supermarket which is open rather long. At the party place we have a kitchen where you can prepare some food on your own too.

Sorry Jak T Rip, our homepage is outdated and inaccessable 4 various reasons at the moment. Please consider that our two main organizers have a very exciting real life situation at the moment. Nevertheless, we do the very best to make BCC#6 the best BCC ever. (btw/4 the future to avoid missing the event: the date is ALWAYS the last weekend in February since BCC#3).

More information in German can be found here:
Forum64 thread about BCC#6.

4 more nights, guys, :D fix your competition entries and remember to send remote entries till Friday at high noon.

CU TheRyk

Please update this webpage. All the time I'm searching for basic information like when, where, competition deadlines/rules... and there is simply no useful information on the page. I even missed one BCC because I was not organised enough to immediately note the dates in my calendar when I heard them and couldn't find them anymore later on.
JUST A TINY LITTLE TEXT WITH INFORMATION, PLEEEEEEASE!

This year I'll accept some responsibility and support the orgas (who have both a rather exciting real life at the moment) more than usual. Among my duties is also organizing the competition(s). Remote entries are welcome, though only the attendants will be allowed to pick among kewl prices (in the order of the ranking). Make sure to send remote entries to ryker[ÄT_nö_späm]freenet.de by Fri 24th Feb at 12:00 noon (we have NO internet access at the party place!), then I'll make sure that they will take part in the competition(s). We apologize once again 4 not having shown last year's ROLE remote entry in due time. This shouldn't happen again.

This year's rules:
- Update 4 gfx entries (Feb 4): You decide whether to tag/sign it or not. Don't send workstages but maybe add them after we'll have created a CSDb entry. At the party we'll either notice if sth is converted or be too drunk, just kidding. ;)
- entry must run on a "normal" C64 with any C= drive (there should be a good reason 2 hand in sth 4 1581 only, though) or datasette.
- Stereo-in-SID, EasyFlash or NeoRAM entries are (not expected but) allowed (I'll bring Stereo-in-SID, EF and NR, but don't plan to release anything 4 them myself)
- normally, hardware entries, entries 4 other systems or entries 4 other special/new hardware (other than Stereo-in-SID, NeoRAM or EasyFlash) will run out of competition if there are any. Moreover, you should - even 4 out of competition entries - clearly indicate if any hardware fancier than 1541-II is necessary. We have almost everything but need to know such details beforehand.
- if SID model 6581/8580 is crucial, it should be specified, Stereo-Tunes 4 Stereo-in-SID should also include info on how to equip (old/new SID) and jumper (pseudo/real Stereo) the hardware
- most probably there will be one large mix competition
- however, if we have 3 or more entries for one categorie such as GFX, SID, demo, game, there might be separate competitions, in that case, the price selecting will be like this: - winner of category with most entries --> winner of 2nd biggest competition --> winner of 3rd biggest competition --> 2nd place of biggest comp. etc.
- Remote entries will only get the glory, but none of the prices.
- Competition results will be published here either Saturday/Sunday night or Monday.
- Deadline 4 live entries will be announced in due time at the party.
- We might spontaneously decide to bend each of the aforesaid rules, :P

Can't find any info on the club's website? Any other page with practical information?

[/edit on] Whoops, didn't look at the attendants list before I posted this... [/edit off]

YAY \o/ Great that you named it BCC(!)#6 in memory of the traditional name of our group. BCC2CCB is nice too, however :) Maybe we should have a competition to find a new name 4 us (everyone can make suggestions but only members of the group fka BCC may vote).

(Explanation 4 non-TCfkaBCC members: a company owning certain rights to a name assured us that it's not a good idea to use the acronym anymore)

If hell doesn't freeze over, I'll be there, this time most probably with a demo release 4 my new demo group Arsenic.
