Arriving at the partyplace
The party place is located at Keskuskatu 44, Viiala.
A bus stand and a train stop are 100m from the party place.
Train schedule: (http://www.vr.fi or directly http://tinyurl.com/viialatrain)
Bus schedules: (http://www.expressbus.com, the closest bus stop is 'Viiala Hämeentie'.)
Pirkkala airport has direct connections *at least* from/to Bremen, Stockholm, Riga and Helsinki in
November. You can check out e.g. RyanAir, SAS, AirBaltic and Finnair schedules for more information considering your location.
From Helsinki airport, there are zillions of connections.
One (slow) option is to take a love boat from Stockholm to Turku (http://www.sales.vikingline.com/en/international/ and http://www.tallinksilja.com/en/). Then you can even travel with your car.
Some distances:
- Pirkkala airport: 30km
- Tampere: 35km
- Helsinki: 150km
- Turku: 130km
From Tampere and Helsinki it is most convenient to take a train. From Turku, a bus is easiest. If you arrive at Helsinki-Vantaa airport, you should first get Bus '61' to Tikkurila train station and from there take the 'R' train to Viiala.
If there are enough attenders, a bus trip from Helsinki might be organized by a third party.
Taxi from Pirkkala airport costs ~10-16 EUR per person if a full cab/minibus taken.
Taxi from Tampere costs ~12-20 EUR per person if a full cab/minibus taken.
Train from Tampere to Viiala costs ~5 EUR.

| What's the best way to get there from Denmark/South Sweden? I've found tix from Copenhagen to Tampere via Helsinki for 140 EUR. Or do you take the bus from H to T? How to get from Tampere to ze party place? |

Quick summary
It is time to break the silence after 15 years and organize a yet another excellent C-64 party in Finland! This time Zoo will be held at Viialan Seurahuone, Akaa.
The party place is an old society club at the centre of the small village of Viiala.
There will be the following C64 compos: Music, Graphics, Disk Cover, PETSCII, Basic Demo, Demo and Gaming. Additionally there will be a Wild demo compo open for up to 16 bit platforms sold in the 1980ies.
Tickets and drink tokens will be sold ONLY in advance. Prices will be announced as soon as possible. There is a limited possibility for hotel accomodation with negotiated prices. More details will follow. We also offer an oldschool sleeping area. The sauna is warm on Friday so you'll have a chance to see the nuts of your fellows! There will be live music by demoscene artists. Names are to be announced later.
Let us make together the Zoo the best C64 event of the year in Finland! |
