The compo is heating up! We've got some awesome stuff so far - thank you!! Hey Bonzai, don't keep us waiting too long for the final version of your prod! :D Which other groups will submit something? I have a feeling we have some big surprises to look forward to. Five days to go until the submission deadline...

UPDATE: NEW DEADLINE: 26 May 2020, 23:59:59 CET. So if you want your entries to be shown on Mibri's Twitch channel before a release next tuesday, that is completely ok. <3 |

ZeSmasher: Or the most innovative scroller wins, if it's both cool and quite unreadable? Or perhaps the most creative one will win? We don't know. We let the public decide. :D |

hey, I was ignoring the existence of this compo!
I'm dumb and I don't understand things well... so basically is: if someone can read your scrolltext you lost? :) |

Oh, there has been an entry... just not released on CSDb yet! Coders outside of Bonzai: come on, don’t make us beg! |

The compo is inspired by the discussions on Mibri's Twitch Stream, where we had fun discussing multiple elegant, crappy, beautiful, but always unreadable scrolltexts. I was somewhat forced to initiate this compo, and by doing that I take Mibri with me, so he can use his stream to show the reults (if any) in a month's time. Additionally The Ryk's online compo principles rule this compo:
Rules: NONE! (Except the release must be for the C64 and contain a scrolltext and a scroller, preferrably very unreadable, but still awesome - be it stylish, weird or plain funny).
Suggestions:
Create whatever scroller/scrolltext you want based on what the compo inspires you to do.
Coders/artists decide themselves if they want to take this dead seriously in a hipster kind of way or if they just want to have fun, both is absolutely alright,
There are unlimited ways how to express yourselves; you decide if you start from scratch or with some other source.
This is not about winning, but voters feel free to vote, anyway!
Compo ends: 23 May 2020, 23:59:59 CET. |
