For comparison to the BCC16 results, here's how it would've looked if we'd gone the squared-average way with CSDb scores:-

1: Sprite Spirit, Lethargy, 5.2041 pts
2: Tree of Peace, Genesis Project, 4.9290 pts
3: Plasma Ninja, Resource, 4.8675 pts
4: Sprite Bukkake, Bonzai, 4.6851 pts
5: Icosprites, Onslaught, 4.1243 pts
6: Kung Fu Pico, F4CG, 3.75 pts
7: Just Done For Fun, Onslaught, 3.5778 pts
8: Spritro, Genesis Project, 3.4670 pts
9: Robomania, Lazycow, 3.0204 pts
10: Only Sprite Intro 2022, Excess, 2.6886 pts
11: Farawaydius, Eryngi, 2.6806 pts
12: Dragon Channel, Hack’n’Trade, 2.6694 pts
13: Spritemo, Delysid, 2.2153 pts
14: Breaking Bad, Finnish Gold, 1.9408 pts

nb. I have no idea why but Kung Fu Pico only had 2 votes... I'm not sure why that one was missed for most..?

Sorry.. get your demos in as early as you can TOMORROW … I’m going mad/senile, honestly… 2 weeks from an old people’s home for the especially senile, I reckon.

Anyway.. Happy Tuesday, everyone!

Please note deadline update info here: https://csdb.dk/forums/?roomid=12&topicid=154042#155105

The Ryk was very kind to offer to host the compo at BCC, and use the party voting system, so that’s what we’re going with. I hope all are ok with that.

Basically, please try to get any entries in as early as you can today .. if you’d like to keep the demo a surprise, send them in to BCC - and then feel free to put on CSDb anytime you like.

No entry yet? That’s my chance! After 30 years of not coding I could try to put one lame sprite on the screen, in basic, and win the compo with having submitted the only entry! yeaaaaah! :-)
There have been a lot of stunning entries last year, I really hope to see some cool stuff again this time. Come on people, you don’t really want to see my lame basic sprite...

@raistlin: maybe they used all their sprites last time... ;-) Hope to see some entries.

Thanks Strepto - looking forward to what you guys come up with this year :-)

I might put something in myself this time, too, if I can snap out of this horrible coding lull.

@Wile Coyote, have a look at last year's edition of this compo.
It was one of the best csdb compos so far in my opinion.
With tons of original ideas.

I wonder what original ideas, if any, will come as the result of this compo?
