All the entries for this compo are split between 3 different "compos".. but the rankings are for them all to be within one.
Shouldn't all releases just be set as "Mixed"? It's a single compo AFAIK, not 3? |

Ok, there’s been an update regarding dates for this compo!
Last time to upload entry: 24th December 23:59 CET
Voting ends: 30th December 23:59 CET
The results will be presented during the 2th January 2024!

christmas is closing in and while most of us are busy doing christmas shopping, christmas planning, and have maybe a little bit of christmas agony for all the things that need to be done at work before christmas, all the santas of the scene are busy preparing the christmas releases for us all to enjoy!
we already have three releases in this year's xmas compo help us all to get into the christmas spirit:
* Santa Loves C
* Funky Xmas Ghosts
* Grill and Chill 2023 - X-Mas Edition
and there are undoubtedly more to come in the days leading up to christmas!
to join the compo, publish your release here on csdb, then select Xmas 2023 Compo in the "Released At" drop-down menu. and make sure to add the appropriate release type in the "Compo" drop-down.
the only exception to this is if you are planning to compete in the Xmas/Winter 1-Screener Online Compo During #4th Live With C64 Demoscene too. in this case, wait until after the youtube stream is done, starting around 21:00 CET 23rd Dec. then post to csdb and enter this compo too! |

Hey friends, foes and indifferents: if there is any chance we'd like to participate in X-Mas 2023 compo with our christmas meeting demo / scroller: Grill and Chill 2023 - X-Mas Edition
But I don't see any possibility to attach it to two events here :-)

Dear friends. We are very pleased that the entries from our competition (Xmas/Winter 1-Screener Online Compo During #4th Live With C64 Demoscene) were also accepted for the X-mas competition organized by Fairlight.
If you plan to run your entry in both competitions, please send it to compo@c64.fun and hold uploading to CSDb until presented in our compo block (starting around 21:00 CET 23rd Dec).

Christmas demos!
To allow us all to express our Christmas feelings in a scene-friendly fashion, Fairlight invites everyone the 2023 CSDB Christmas compo!
The rules are:
* Participate with a demo, intro, graphics, PETSCII, music, games, diskmags, etc - you decide!
* Entries must be uploaded to CSDB
* Entries have to be Christmas themed in some way
* Voting will be done here at CSDB and will use the same algorithm as the Only Sprites Compo 2023 : ((#10votes ^ 2) * 10 + (#9votes ^ 2) * 9 + ... (#1 votes ^ 2) * 1) / (#allvotes ^ 2)
* Voting ends at December 24 2023 and winner will be announced some time between Christmas and New Year's eve
* Submitting your entry to simultaneous competitions such as Xmas/Winter 1-Screener Online Compo During #4th Live With C64 Demoscene is permitted and encouraged |
