Thanks to everyone who entered! Amazing compo again - especially during such a busy period for the scene! Apologies to any demo parties that this might’ve stolen releases from - there are so many parties nowadays..!

Here are the squared average results ordered from #1 to last:

1. No Sprites: 9.77
2. Sprite Bukkake 2: 9.74
3. Cubic Dream: 9.72
4. Fluffy Wobble: 9.37
5. Apoc Also Likes Sprites!: 9.34
6. Cabbage Soup Season Greetings: 9.22
7. Broken Start Screen: 9.11
8. SprWall: 8.97
9. SPRooBZ: 8.57
10. SPRendulum: 8.41
11. SPRITEtris: 8.16
12. Sir Epsilon: 7.42
13. Galaxian: Return of Compressed Poo-Balls!: 6.85
14. Sprite Tron: 6.5
15. Game of Life - Sprite Edition: 6.04

Congrats to all who entered. There are no losers in this, you’re all winners in my eyes. Special congrats to Fairlight - you’ve had an amazing year for demo-making, hope to see that continue in 2024 :-)

Surprise! I said "sometime" on 23rd Dec the scores would be locked .. and they're now locked (ie. I've downloaded all the scores ready for calculation).

Quite busy today but I'll work out the results ASAP :-)

For me the Voting system is confusing inside CSDB, should be a separate Voting instead (somehow). I cannot give a straight 10/10 if this votes down the performers demo from the X2023 ;) So.... damn. I#M confused. Great entries anyway.

Oh crap, just realised the compo was over before I got to work on my entry. Well, until next time. Hope you’re gonna do this again next year Raistlin. Perhaps we need Nothing Compo. VIC-II registers and ghostbyte etc.

I hate dealing with sprites in code, but seeing what real coders can do with them is super interesting. The last Sprites Compo was one of the more exciting CSDB compos for me. Can't wait to see what wonders come up this year.

* You can ONLY display sprites - no chars or bitmaps. Magic byte(s) CAN be used.
* Change any VIC properties that you like
* Interaction IS allowed - make it a game if you like (including title, game, scores, instructions)
* Music is allowed and encouraged
* Borders can of course be removed
* No REU allowed
* Entries must be supplied as D64 or PRG and uploaded to CSDb
* Demos, Intros, Games, Diskmags, -ANYTHING- allowed ... so long as only sprites are used through the production
