For me this is 'THE DEMO' on C64.

This is STILL the best demo ever!!!

Fantastic demo, especially when you see the release date. It still looks as fresh today as it did twenty years ago.

So good that it is ridiculous.

I love the effects, music and the transitions. And the almost last effect with 2 layers of graphics and two pictures bouncing around and a sprite multiplexer on top of that... that just blows my mind. BLITTER MODE ACTIVATED

I don't care if there are demos that have gazillion spinning 3D cubes rendered in real time over an image in Super-Hyper-FLI mode, with 255 sprites shown over the border.
This is The Demo, the best production ever made on C64.

If I had to show just only one demo on the 64 to demonstrate "all features", I would choose "+H2K" of course.

My personal favorite demo of all time: there's just something about the design and atmosphere it creates that I just really like.

Watching this again I was struck how awesome this demo is. Where it lacks in the design department, it is more than well covered for in the fx department. Few filler parts - Everything is hi-tec code pr0n. Awesome stuff. And remember this is 2000, baby. That's 14 years ago!

There are few demos I actually do watch again and again over time. This is one. Ultracool code and design (nothing beats the atari sign moment...), great pace, nicely aligned with the fantastic musics. I just realized that some of the praise I gave to Fanta actually goes to Gangstar... he did a hell of a good job on this demo, too.
And Krill: the TV-noise-part really worked out very well ;-)

Digger: Apart from that charset looking great, i chose it because it features Polish diacritics: Fanta had a Polish girlfriend at that time and left her a message in Polish in that scroller.. That's the story - useless demo trivia #23534636 :)

Whoah, just spotted that my 1x1 charset is used in the upscroller. How has this happened? :)

I still miss Krill's extra parts and hot fixes of some of the finest quality, color blends and rhythms.

Well... I have watched this demo many times with a friend, and also alone, and, just... wow... it's really the sort of style I expected from Plush after seeing all (most of?) their 4K demos... and I like it! Who needs good gfx in a demo, if it already looks very stylish? =)

also, the fact that some effects are over real soon, which makes it look like those effects didn't cost any effort =)

I say, more of this stuff!

I have watched this demo so many times, and i must confess, each time i dig it out of my diskbox i think of the transitions between parts in this demo. Just watch how Krill does it! Damn!

very cool demo, great coding, fabulous effects, nice and fast flow.

it lacks a bit gfx wise though, and I think it would appeal to more people if the colorschemes were chosen a bit better.

so, this gets an 8 from me (anything below 7, I just dont understand, bunch of anonymous wankers)

One downvote to rating#1? this is mean...and stupid!

Submitted by anix on 10 April 2005
why is this not #1 on the charts? the detail never ends and it's polished like all get out. i assume the sun/moon shadow bit is highly precalculated though, because there is alot of loading on that part...

This is the best demo ever. Deus ex Machina might be good and perhaps is regarded as better than this. But hey! Normal _IS_ boring. Therefore I vote a 10 for this demo.
