@Dr.j: Yes, I added a little protection, just for fun (as I also did for Bellringer III V1.5). Nothing fancy, but I did actually put some effort into obfuscating it.

@Burglar: The hookup and BAD CRACK prompt start of level 3 instead of GET READY (main protection feature) was already circumvented in this version. You can play the game completely through until the end. The changed GET READY message only appears after GAME OVER and you start a new game. From then you get BAD CRACK instead of GET READY text, but you can still play the game.

I think it's supercool that GeirS added a protection. Also very funny that he hid it quite well ;)
and that didi fell for it is extra funny. I think most would've missed it though.

@Dr.J: Actually this game HAS a protection which displays BAD CRACK instead of GET READY and hooks up at start of level 3 if not run from cartridge. Geir implemented something similar in Bellringer III v1.5 back then, that's why I expected something here.

@DIDI: "I expected some kind of protection" ha ha Are you serious Didi? what do you think publishers will invest time in protections today like in te golden era ?? its 100% for fun and not for commercial use. i think it will silly to invest hours of building "Worthy" protection , lets get back to ground no one will do on the c64. its not 1989 ! but i am sure there are still nowadays games hard to crack and train so i will never Heedless for cracks (espec. when i am not a decent cracker )

Yep, protection diaablement was incomplete. Get Brilliant Maze V1.1 +5HD instead.
I expected some kind of protection in this game after the enhanced version of Bellringer III had one, too.

Not Mod anymore but still behaving like one. There is nothing silent happening here! The bug was announced, confirmed and fixed, which is OK regarding the rules.

should make a new entry though, silent updates are NOT for correcting your broken crack

Shit! Seems I missed a trap. Did not expect more of them. Hope it is fixed now.

Hmmm... In this version, if I complete level 2 before running out of lives, the message "BAD CRACK" appears instead of "GET READY" when starting a NEW game :)
