Sarge, All
As I wont be finishing my "response pic" I thought I will just upload the stage it is in now, and share with the scene. So here is the one I planned as a response to yours IM pic.
No will and energy to work on it anymore.

Some more info on my blog.

I must admit I am not a fan of these redrawn eddie stuff anymore - even as a nostalgic bag and beeing a fan of intros with eddie gfx in the 80s/90s - Now I mostly see it a bit as a ripoff the orginal artists with my personal attitude of trying to just create my own stuff (well, let that be my personal attitude and target in live) - but (!) I really have to acknowledge the good work on pixel, music ,style and giving the old eddie a really new spin in a double screen. Additional thx to sarge to share the steps.

Love the workstages, apart from a different tablet (Artist 12 Pro vs iPad) i use the same technique and tools myself when I tinker with my pixels - obviously the end results aren't as stunning though ;)

I think you are cheating with skills. How dare you!

My process almost always is this:

I start sketching in Procreate on my iPad. Export that image to Photoshop where I have made a fat pixels brush and a c64 palette. Then I by hand pixel my sketch roughly. When I feel I have control over the image I move over to Pixcen where I finish it. The Pixcen part is the part that take the longest time. In the workstage I posted here you can see my sketch in the background which I then pixel over. Its somewhere around when the flag starts to take shape where I have moved over to Pixcen.

Wonderful release. Cool graphics and a very nice interpretation of a classic metal tune - metal on SID is not an easy task, but I think you pulled it off. Some really nice filtering and sounds, Mibri.

... oh there is nothing like a bit of that good ol' rivalry. Love it.

Eddie and the trooper is great but nothing beat the headbanging move - splendid!

Yes, seems like Carrion has picked up the gauntlet so looking forward to see how the battle evolves :)

@burgular. Dont worry. This is more a nudge to Carrion. This is an answer to his Trooper picture. I think I wrote somewhere that ”the battle is on” and that is just some friendly taunting coming his way. I guess this is not the end, only the beginning.
