Oh, how did I miss this. What a feeling to see Collision greeted in the end part. What a feeling to look through a window back to old days. Thanks Graffity for taking us back in time! If this really is the last ever release for you guys, what a way to say goodbye. If not, even better. :)

I am happy to see something get finished after many years as I have things that were never finished, released. I hope it means the crew gets together and joins the scene with new releases.
I give 10/10 as inspiration, but not to compare today's top-notch production. Thank you for the release.

Aww, that demo note hit me right in the feels (I know all too well the experience of having an never-released record breaker surpassed years after the part was originally coded), and to add on top of that long lost group members, changes in dev environment, debugging parts that noone even remembers working on...

This production has had such a journey to its release, it's a privilege to see it in its final form.

Definitely the right call to release it as a 1993 demo rather than shoehorning into a trackmo with updated effects. Mad respect for sticking with pucrunch, too.

Cheers for the tech note, and yeah, super advanced for 1993.

Still fresh after all these years. Love those kefrens (so many colours!) and that plasma cycler, and an excellent art collection on the B side.

And that Depeche Mode inspired scrolltext - epic!

wow, after all those years finally released. Some very nice routines are in this beauty which would have stirred up shit back then and are still nice to see nowadays. Thanks for this nice trip down the memory lane with leavinbg the design untouched and so early 90ies.
Has been a long time since I read so much DM text :D
Now that your are finally done with this massive brain-blocker, you are free to create something new!
You are more than welcome to do so.
thanks for not giving up hope and releasing this

Nice tricks! I like these kinds of demos: No transition, just explanatory like Crest did once and bam!
Inspirational, together with the reading of the two attached notes.

What an achievement!! Thanx guys for resurrecting the parts of this wonderful demo. Some of these parts would really have turned the world upside down if they had been released back in 1992.

The name JustinBlue.. damn it, i was more than just convinced that i had seen a demo with this name already. Still can not recall ever seeing those effects before.. Feels like a mystery to me.

Well deserved compo-winner of course! A must-see for everyone!

That directory thing is by far my favourite part of this demo (not saying the rest is bad at all). Very cool :)

"The d64 is not "mine", I just found it upped here this morning."

Normally, you shouldn't have found anything in the first place.
I created and locked the release after the compo, and overnight someone unlocked it and uploaded the trash d64 version as an additional link.

It's all good now, thanks for removing the link!

The d64 is not "mine", I just found it upped here this morning.
The comment with the link has been already removed, don't you worry about it.
I already wasted all day ripping the tunes from this party, I don't need to waste any more about this incident. Move along.

Ian,
we are 'combative' about this, because fixing the directory-changer behavior, to work as it is now literally delayed the release of the demo for years. We wan't to eliminate "trash" versions from the get go to be spread, fe. if somebody with the d64 version reads the technical note, will not understand what Cheesion is talking about.

About the sids, there is a volume compensation built in for every sid in the demo (except the note files), so the watcher can enjoy the demo without adjusting the volume at the digi part. As far as I know Jay & Brian intend to submit their tunes to hvsc where the volume is full, and I'm sure they will also upload it here soon.

Ian Coog: no, the demo does not work. The note clearly tells it should display a different directory art, and your “hacked” version clearly fails in that regard. Please respect our efforts and remove your version from the comments. Thank you for understanding!

I can't remove comments, I have to wait for the mods do it. To me it worked, I watched the demo and I could extract the files from it to unpack them and rip the tunes. Other than that I don't know what it's not working.

Also, if I have to "unlock" the entry to enter the sids (I just ripped them right now) whenever is the time, I'll do it, I don't have to ask permission for it. When it's done I'll remove my permission to edit the entry as usual.
I'm not here to vandalize entries, but to put some order when there is no other cleaning them.

Ian Coog,
the d64 doesn't work, that's the point. The directory-bugger is integral part of the demo, you have no idea how freaking much work was involved to make that work.

I kindly ask you to remove your comment with the link to an unofficial version that is unrelated to our intentions. I also kindly ask you to not unlock the editing of this entry without any reason.

Many thanks for the show!
And very nice with the different directory art!
Crest made something "similar" in one of their 90's demos. Don't remember the name. They changed the directory after you started the demo.

What a nice gem you've managed to dig up there. Thank God for the sturdiness of 5'25'' disks. :) Mad props for doing 3rd line 16 color Alcatrazbars/Kefrensbars 18 years before I thought I came up with a new invention, and the colorcycler is just impossibly smooth!

It has been a while since i watched a demo like this.. the plasma looked rather smooth..
The 1st image in the flooder part looks really quite something (i liked the other pic's also)
The End up scroll could use some slowing down.
The last thing i expected the 1541 to do was rotate ;D

Dear Graffity, I always loved your demos and I am tremendously happy to see this released. You have been one of the groups inspiring me to become involved in the demoscene back in the beginning of the 90s :)
Stay with us longer, keep on creating, the beauty of nowadays C64 demoscene is that there is place and appreciation of schools old and new, different styles and paces, mathematics, design, VIC trickery and whatever floats anyone's boat. We need more Graffity demos. I do, at least! ;)

Whoever uploaded a hacked d64 version, please never do that again, or touch this entry, you don't have anything to do with this production. Also whichever admin unlocked the entry for him, why?

Some great parts, nice pixels and smooth tunes there. Overall, very cozy feeling that brings back childhood memories.
Thank you for that!
