Great demo with a message, but I wonder if the side-scrolling blocks are buildings or tombstones. | User Comment Submitted by Cruzer on 2 April 2013
Nice physics! As well as other stuff. | User Comment Submitted by Matt on 15 February 2007
irl i hate this sort of music but boten anna is one of the best conversions i ever heard on a c64, cheers zabutom!! | User Comment Submitted by Fzool on 26 August 2006
This music kicks ass! Oh, and the demo too ofcourse... but the music, hmmmm! :) | User Comment Submitted by JackAsser on 23 August 2006
Top notch! Especially the parallax aeroplanes. Fuckings though for not having the dropping bomb go down in the lower border! | User Comment Submitted by Alchemist on 3 August 2006
I know I didn't vote this best in the compo, and couldn't really remember much about it apart from the boat at the end... strange because on re-watching I remember some really nice effects - the dominoes (stunning), the plane flattening the city (neat), the 3d parallax, the waves... so I wonder if it's just because it ends abruptly that I forgot.
But anyway... nice work, and yeah, I think this maybe did deserve to be first place even though I didn't vote that way on the night.
Secret song BAD! Argh! - I'd never heard it before but I had to look it up and listened to the original. Now it's stuck in my head and won't go away! Hehe.
Anyway... thanks for the great demo! Good work! | User Comment Submitted by dalezy on 3 August 2006
nice demo in all its usual industrial/vectorporn-hollowmanishness accompanied with a neat tune.
gotta ask zabu for the hidden ikea tune, as i don't want to publically admit that i didn't find the hidden part. | User Comment Submitted by Oxidy on 2 August 2006
The last part is by far the best one. Overall good demo, with good conceptual design and streamlined presentation. Enjoyable! The secret 'Boten Anna' tune is a really good cover. | User Comment Submitted by ne7 on 1 August 2006
Wicked demo from hollowmanski and great tune by zabutom. Enjoyed it loads :) Funny secret tune, I saw the vid the other day. what an odd theme for a song! must drive u all mad over in sweden haha | User Comment Submitted by Sledge on 1 August 2006
This is really good indeed. You have it in your blood, Hollowman.. :) | User Comment Submitted by hollowman on 31 July 2006
oswald, jackassers routines werent used. i used his sprites though | User Comment Submitted by Tch on 31 July 2006
Damn, can I have that -disregarded- projector used in the compo?
The demo looked much better on it.
Anyway, cool demo with a good,if somewhat egocentric, advice..
"DONT BE SAD"
Excellent hidden music,mission accomplished! ;)
Still, not my favorite from BFP anymore.. | User Comment Submitted by Nightlord on 30 July 2006
this was a nice and fast flowing demo for me. The physics animations are surely nice and the music kicks ass. I like hollowman's sense of flow in his demos. | User Comment Submitted by Hoild on 30 July 2006
I found it damn refreshing to watch a demo so different from the rest.
Visuals are on the edge of design vs crappy, but thankfully lean into the direction of design most of the time.
And yes, physics in a c64 demo is great. :] | User Comment Submitted by Oswald on 30 July 2006
I'm sorry but this one did not came through for me. I'm left with the impression that it could have been much better. The last part aroused some technical questions in me to add some compliments. Jackasser's routines could do more than they were used to. (yea ze coder has spoken) | User Comment Submitted by DRAX on 30 July 2006
Nice tune and a nice demo in general! | User Comment Submitted by taper on 30 July 2006
I mean, can a demo with a "Boten Anna" cover loose? Probably not. It made me smile, for sure. :) | User Comment Submitted by blackdroid on 29 July 2006 User Comment Submitted by Linus on 29 July 2006
Brilliant. One's gotta love the maintune. | User Comment Submitted by Metal Maniac on 29 July 2006 User Comment Submitted by Hein on 29 July 2006
I havent seen/heard the hiddenpart, only the 'original' annabot tune. But, it sounds like an answer from the book. Guess the subject has more to it than 64k. Thats why I only like the use of effects, the content doesn't do me much. (How can it? I've never been in a war, not even a scenewar) | User Comment Submitted by hollowman on 29 July 2006
if its ruined by the hidden part, then so much the better. building up, knocking down.. | User Comment Submitted by Hein on 29 July 2006
That 'Annabot' is a silly tune. If there is a meaning to the demo, and it somehow looks that way, it's definately ruined by that tune. | User Comment Submitted by CreaMD on 29 July 2006
Neat! I'm not qualified to (dark ;-) judge the demo into detail, but I liked the smooth transition of story and effects. And who's that new musician? I see this nick for the first time. The tune isn't specially my taste, but ficts perfectly to the demo mood. Thumbs up dudes! | User Comment Submitted by Mantiz on 29 July 2006
I really liked this one! A demo with a theme that works the whole way from the beginning to the end, now that is something you don't see every day! Very nice use and selection of effects.
The end tune is totally great, it really reminds me a lot of fm synthesis music, which next to SID composing is the way of true computer music. Feel the vibes.. | User Comment Submitted by Zyron on 29 July 2006
They were only whisteling cause you finally turned it off :) | User Comment Submitted by Stan on 29 July 2006 User Comment Submitted by hollowman on 29 July 2006
the tune at the end is hidden, i asked frantic to reveal it during the compo since i enjoy it, and judging by the whistling afterwards so did atleast a few other ;) | User Comment Submitted by Richard on 29 July 2006
Great demo. Good music. I loved the effects. Quality stuff. Keep up the good work Hollowman & rest of crew :) | User Comment Submitted by Hate Bush on 29 July 2006
i expected propaganda and got subtle food for thought instead. superbly executed piece of a demo, with the tune that both fits the atmosphere & is stunning as a standalone one (the snares oh the snares). | User Comment Submitted by Trazan on 29 July 2006
A very nice production as usual by the fartlords in FLT. Thumbs up and kalsongs ON. | User Comment Submitted by Radiant on 29 July 2006
Wow! Love that physics stuff. | User Comment Submitted by Zyron on 29 July 2006
Very nice demo but you should have left out that damn horrible Boten Anna tune at the end. I really hate it & it ruined the demo. | User Comment Submitted by Hein on 29 July 2006
The use of effects is great. Music is cool too. | User Comment Submitted by Burglar on 29 July 2006
