Final Version available: Decline of Kali V1.2 + Bonus
@motion: i highly doubt it, because commodore used another speechcart (magicvoice), and speakeasy is easy to use and program (plugs into userport, can even be used with vic20) | User Comment Submitted by Motion on 16 October 2007
@Yago : By 'used', I meant that he had alot of hassle getting it to work with the C128, due to unusual programming methods implemented on it. | User Comment Submitted by yago on 14 October 2007 User Comment Submitted by Motion on 14 October 2007
Really liked this one - great graphics. The sense of depth was very impressive in the first pic and the 2nd one was very metallic. Looked great in the border and the colour cycling was a nice touch.
Nicely suited music too, Hein.
SpeakEasy support? Is this the same cartridge 'Bil Herd' was on about with the C128? | User Comment Submitted by ZZAP69 on 20 August 2007
WDK2 - That could really be an intresting coop! | User Comment Submitted by dalezy on 15 August 2007

nice tune, and nice graphics.
though, on the objective side of things, i'm a bit disappointed, because this is a form of kali as it has been modelled by ray harryhausen and was portrayed in the movie 'the golden voyage of sinbad' (and in fact, this one looks too similar to that one =). harryhausen's kali turned out to be missing some essential parts that kind of define kali's image as it's known to most in popular culture.
i'm just mentioning the missing third eye, the obligatory sickle, the chopped off head in one of her hands, the necklace that's made of skulls .. yeah, looks like i'm picky here. :D | User Comment Submitted by j0x on 14 August 2007
Ed: I think Oswald just volunteered :) | User Comment Submitted by Laxity on 14 August 2007
\O/.. Great demo with awsome music from Hein - as always.. I love it!..
EDIT: The alpha thing in the first part is awfully nice, but the stray sprite in sinus thing after than, annoys me a bit - it's like it won't comply to conformity. :) | User Comment Submitted by Oswald on 14 August 2007
very nice indeed, but I miss the effort which would it make a true demo in my eyes. I think e.s. needs a coder slave, too many nice ideas thrown away too cheaply. | User Comment Submitted by Henne on 13 August 2007
@Rough:
The STILLE file is used to turn off the SpeakEasy module used in some parts of the demo. | User Comment Submitted by Burglar on 12 August 2007
I like it a lot, especially those 2 magnificent pics by Joe.
but yes, radiantx is right (!), some $d010 hacking would've been in order, the plexer should've been centered. | User Comment Submitted by Radiant on 12 August 2007
Nice, but I'd have liked the multiplexed sprites to the right instead, because might is right. | User Comment Submitted by Archmage on 12 August 2007
I recognize the overall quality here, and I like the music. The graphics leaves me wondering though. Seen in connection with the last WD demo, I really cannot decide for myself whether this is cheap copyism, unheard of Timanthes-transfering with minor correction - or pure artistic brilliance. I hope it's the last, but I need some time on deciding. | User Comment Submitted by Linus on 12 August 2007
*Very* nice indeed, great sonics, too. Yes, I am a member of the church of Hein. | User Comment Submitted by Rough on 11 August 2007
Yeah, the Kali is greatly done, but what's that STILLE file? | User Comment Submitted by d0c on 11 August 2007
nice one i liked this very much, simple effects but with good music and top-notch gfx! | User Comment Submitted by Scout on 11 August 2007
Excellent job Yago!
Too bad I couldn't stay to watch it on the big screen.
@Hein: hey! that tune sounds familiar! ;) | User Comment Submitted by HCL on 11 August 2007
