@Archmage, ok - fair enough :) | User Comment Submitted by Archmage on 6 October 2010
@Sander: anybody who were in the contemporary Amiga scene would recognize that intro, so it might just be that they don't want to state the obvious. | User Comment Submitted by Sander on 6 October 2010
Great pack!
Though seeing that intro does seem odd to me. No word of reference at all? | User Comment Submitted by Conrad on 6 October 2010 User Comment Submitted by Archmage on 6 October 2010
Very very nice stuff, guys! Yay! My favourite is the 4-mat tune. | User Comment Submitted by ne7 on 5 October 2010
thanks mr.sid :) thats ace! \o_ | User Comment Submitted by Mr. SID on 5 October 2010
I really like this. The tunes are really nice, and when you select one the screens slightly jumps a bit. Neat.
Btw, for #3, what about upgrading the resolution of the Amiga a bit? http://galway.c64.org/~sid/amiga_hand.prg | User Comment Submitted by Frantic on 5 October 2010
@Conrad: See my comment below. :) (Do people actually read the comments? :) | User Comment Submitted by Conrad on 5 October 2010
woah! The intro part really brought back Amiga memories! Does anyone remember what intro that was? It's been years since I had my Amiga out.
EDIT: @Frantic: okay, thanks :)
booker: any tune done by ne7 is 6581, but they sound great on 8580 too. | User Comment Submitted by Frantic on 5 October 2010
@DeeKay: You missed two points at once. First, you comment on my comment and not on MrSIDs comment. Second, I was referring to the fact that the releases are of the "same" (but rather unusual) kind, sort of. As far as I know there is no special connection between "other platform music music disks" and X. Anyway.. This is of course the most tiny detail in the world.. :)
@Bepp: The design (and the music) in the intro is a recreation of the crack intro in front of Lotus Turbo Challenge on Amiga, which may explain the difference in design between the selector menu and the intro. | User Comment Submitted by booker on 5 October 2010
What SID for this? Intro 8580, collie 6581 or?
Some nice covers there, and well remembered MOD.s like "Monday" | User Comment Submitted by DeeKay on 5 October 2010
<mrsid> the reason why it was released on the same day was no coincidence, it was called X | User Comment Submitted by bepp on 4 October 2010
Really like the Amiga bootscreen :-D The colors and overall feeling (with that chippy background) in the menu is just great. High chip factor - especially when listening to Scales of joy =) Being a sucker for outlines, I really like the charset in the menu, very crisp and easy to read. Nice song conversions. Good work! | User Comment Submitted by Stainless Steel on 4 October 2010
Yeah monday does bring some memories back. Nice one. | User Comment Submitted by Frantic on 4 October 2010
I even remember the .mod title of that tune from the intro (gonads cracks) when ripping it with the built in mod-ripper in my Amiga Action Replay from the Lotus Turbo Challenge intro... :)
To be honest I didn't recognize much of the other tunes apart from the one called "monday" which was somehow familiar. Are most of the other tunes "newer" ones so to speak? :) I don't really know much about amiga after the A500 period.
Somehow notable that it was released at the same time as MrSids NES-music-disk. Not that I am sure that there is any hidden meaning to be found in this coincidence though. :) | User Comment Submitted by Steppe on 4 October 2010
Was fun getting this shown on my machine by Ne7. Really nice music disk, will listen a bit deeper on the weekend. | User Comment Submitted by Motion on 4 October 2010
