Like the lead and the other stuff going on here and there, not too fond of the bassline though.

Well I didn't mean lead has to have S:$F (and yeah, they're kinda slap-in-a-face with the max sustain). More kinda what happens to graphics, they give different effect on Commodore monitor, on Vice and on big screen. And during the compo there's display on big screen and voice on soundsystem ;)

OK just my fav tune didn't win, I reserve the right to moan :)

I still have a lot to learn from you Uncle Lini ;).

btw, I disagree with louder leads. Overtime I found $f sustained leads to be too in-your-face, which is why I kinda stopped doing it a couple years ago. I find it a nice balance to do it this way personally. Still, headphones vs amplifiers in a large room make differences.

What Randall said and ... lovely!

Nitpicking - the snare is a bit sloppy and occupies too much of the low freq range imho. Yes, I´ll shut up now! ;)

Clearly #1 of the SP5 music compo in my ears. I'd only make the leads a bit louder, as they sound fine on headphones, but would (and did) blur on the soundystem. Kinda the same happened with your Forever 2010 tune, but fortunately you changed them last minute. The snare-drum gets lower hipass frq on real C64 and sounds better on resid. Quite annoying emu "feature". Not chaotic in the melodic area at any time, but perhaps this is just me not being envious (or perchaps because I simply can't do melody at all).

Owen, listen, I loved a lot of your tunes before, but this one is so far your very best! Thank you :D

he just has it. too chaotic in the melodic area to me at times, but that's just being envious.

Nice groove. I can picture some Travolta moves over it.

Yes, funky for my ears, the sounds sound fairly traditional but that is no problem. :) Nice echo effects and fast pitches. :)
