Totally forgot I did that logo for that one. Just watched it on youtube and WTF??? :)
technically impressive from a streaming/decoding POV, but yeah it could have gotten more pixel polish.

@oswald
Indeed i agree I need to spend more time on the parts. My main motivation in this demo was really for the compression based parts (audio) Yes i am aware of Andropolis and the 50fps screen flipping - Very nice by the way (although having a three screen high picture with flipping at any y position would be rather different) My quick and dirty approach does not use any additional gfx data for this by the way and not an animation as mentioned before.
The full realtime approach of the distorter would give nasty distortion in dither patterns, hence i used precalculated stretch strips which were dithered after. Looks better this way imo.
I dont really care how something is achieved as long as it does what it says :-) Some may frown on it, but cant please everyone.

@bitbreaker. I know, i know, bad habit. Lack of time. from the kraftwerk part onwards till the end of the demo (e.g linking etc)was done within a few days of the screening.

also similar picture flipper was done already by Jackasser, 50fps, no comperession artefacts, it did no scrolling, but I bet it could be. so why not take the real challenges ?

btw you can horizontally strech a picture like that without any animation stored, check andropolis, picture flipper part.

Keep up having boobs in your prods, but please stop compressing textscreens with a lossy format :-)

And of course there were 5 other parts with real time effects in there too ;)

@oswald.
There are some realtime elements even in the "animations" that run at 50fps fullscreen. however none the less the below are performed.

Circle Twist. This is indeed an animation with just changing y offsets with smooth scroll wrap

3D without glasses. Pure CSAM animation.

Y Flip. The flip can occur at any y char position and flip amount is hardcoded for reconstruction. (not an animation)

Distorter. Stretch values are calculated on the fly and the gfx is reconstructed per frame

Tunnel sequence. Future / past offsets for each char line are calculated and reconstructed per frame.

Hope that clears things up.

Like the Sandra / Kraftwerk part. Otherwise too many animations (called effects..) and too many converts.

Very cool effects here. Took me one day to pull the Sandra's song off my brain after watching it but great anyway :D

For a laugh, wait until the kraftwerk part is running. then save contents $1000-$8fff and load it as unsigned 8bit raw sample at 7812hz and play :-)

Enjoyed the show, particularly the shadow circle and end part. The tunnel greets reminded me of playing Bioshock for some reason.
