This is my new favorite from the Fairlight-Offence coops (not trying to disregard Censor's contribution). I really enjoyed the fast pace of this. I loved the Bob's bobs and the zooming colorcycle spheres. Also Pantaloon's intro and the plazma thing

Really nice pixels and amazing music by LMan at the end.

It's just an illusion ;)

Each bitmaps consist of 2 balls beside each other, and there are 3 bitmaps (6-anmations steps in total),
each ball is an animation step, and are animated by moving the screen (VSP).
I still need to update both balls at the same time though ;)
animations are symmetric hence I can get both of the balls to counter animate with each-other like if I swapped them by simply moving them, and the TILE does the magic automatically, it required some trickery for sure... but if we change the content of the picture you would see the shaking screen going on. Above all that I move the stuff around even though it animates by moving (AGSP).... again some trickery.
And more trickery with stretching and sprite carpet to hide the other ball in the beginning ;)
And not to mention the colour-cycler..
this all together gives the impression of a zooming ball.

The bob part in Wonderland 13 was made in sprites, while this is in bitmap using VSP Tech to move in all directions. That is quite a difference. :) This version also supports a scrolltext with the bobs at start, different bob animations and also different colors for each bob in the multicolor screenRAM+colorRAM of the bitmap. So the codebase is totally different from WL13, even though the effect looks very alike. But look closely, you will see the "tail" of the bobs is much more dynamic and has better movements in this version compared to Wonderland 13.

Excellent demo, although some parts feel reused. These bobs look like straight out of Wonderland 13 (and there they were masking a bitmap, a cooler effect in my opinion). Any tips on tranfering this demo to a 1541 via x1541 cable and Star Commander on laptop with DOS (that's my setup for transfering disks) ??

Thanks for the extra info @lemming Unfortunately I just have MMC64 and RetroReplay at the moment. I didn't find a way yet to write the disk image to disk using those. Anyway, that doesn't brings down the joy of having a new excellent demo to watch on those relaxing weekends! At least it works until it reaches the end part. :-) Congratulations again and again! :D

It seems that 1541U2 can handle 40 tracks images @dr.j, which is the problem for the ones who doesn't have it. So maybe update and try again. Cheers!

@AMB: you got the same problem as i did ? i tested with C64C+1541 Ultimate2+ .didn't install the firmware updates though , cause i never had problems with Ultimate 2+ .

yea same problems on real hardware as AMB had; endpart no workee with real disk drive, tested 1541, 1541-II and 1571. C64+1541U2 works.

Is there a better way to start the day than to be watching this? I don´t think so. There is recycling going on here for sure, but it has all been put together with so much talent and dedication, and with amazing pacing and forward momentum. I love it.

Amazing demo from what I have seen... It stucks before the end part (black screen and drive spinning forever just after the balls...) on my C64C + 1541-2. Hope there will be a working version for real HW soon. Anyway, very happy to have a new one from those amazing guys!

Wow! Those colour cycling spheres and tubular colour cycling effects and blaahhh!!! Even more I love this Bobs, but I wish to see a space bar demo with those bobs with iterations of colour and patterns and bitmap masking... I feel the effect sometimes in trackmo’s are not displayed for long enough...
But anyway, really lovely stuff!!
