I have a certain afinity for Buck Rogers, twas the first file I ever downloaded on a modem at the dizzy heights of 300 Baud back in the day..Was the Atari computer version to be honest but I'm a mega C64 fan too so its great to see a re-crack etc of it.....Thanks people..

300Baud....Some of you young guys don't know the pain of that speed :) Was AMAZING back then but hell its slow :)

I did the PETSCII for the trainer - it was fun.

Thank you for the comments. Interesting to see how the original programmer built this game - swapping 4 different framebuffers to get the animation effect. Probably not how it would be done today. I tried to get all the graphics glitches, but collision (precision with the gates) is in the original and it's hard to try to fix too many things without changing the design of the game.

The old Kevlar crack had the level skip trainer, but it was broken. This one works as far as we could test it.

played for some hours now.

theoretically, there are still some minor unfixed bugs (sometimes issues with countdown display, seems those wrong/ghost symbols in display occur after loss-of-life in boss-fight) and glitches (fade-in/out of title before/after a game) left, and a few flaws such as spooky collision detection, unfair situations, jittering enemies etc. simply belong to the game (which is a total classic but has a rather average quality if you compare it to later shmups) still this version's improvements remain amazing. And if you ever tried to fix an ancient game, you know that "BugFix" does not always mean "ALL" bugs are fixed. The ones you got were really annoying, so even after thorough testing, once more: great job!

nice job, this is amongst my fist games I had, not a very good game but it has its charm, maybe its just rose tinted nostalgy. I kept coming back to this for some reason.
