Listening to that composition lets me dream about playing such "Streets of Rage" / "Bare Knuckle" battle games on C64.
Really good part around 2:00 which seems total the same instrument set like Yuzo Koshiro used once.
Awesome in any way: composing / rearranging / using totally obsolete tools (on YM-side). |

Really nice production in every way, music is great but I also think the piano's are too loud, but hey, its your tune, you do as you like :)

| Thanks a lot JCH! Actually, Jammer said the same thing about the pianos! I did spend some time checking the mix on a few different setups, and I found that sometimes the pianos just weren't cutting through enough for my liking. So think of it as a character flaw - a little bit of heavy-handed lameness to remind everyone of the composer... :D |

If anything, I think the FM chords are a little too loud, they are very dominating. |

This is a tune for C64 with 8580 SID and the FM-YAM cartridge, inspired by Yuzo Koshiro's amazing music for Sega's Streets of Rage games. Three regular 1x speed SID channels are combined with six FM (YM3812/OPL2) channels. I used GoatTracker to compose the SID sounds and EdLib (an MS-DOS tool by JCH/Vibrants) to compose the FM sounds.
This tune can be played in VICE as long as you have 8580 selected in SID settings and SFX Sound Expander (YM3812) enabled.
