Awesomely vibrant. It has a little of Magritte in it.

Very impressive and fresh, doesn't look at all like a C64 picture.

Fantastic! Sight and sound. The picture made me remember B.A.T. on Atari ST even tho this is THE Noir as opposed to B.A.T.'s futuristic Neo-noir.

Fantastic work by all concerned.

Particularly impressive use of limited per line palettes in the borders - the transition to/from full multicolour is seamless.

I saw this first on YouTube as a SID tune and thought "wow, such an amazing pic just as an anonymous accompanyment of the music?"
But it turns out they belong together on the centre stage!
The music really goes well with this pic that has such an amazing atmosphere.
Jeez.

Joe...the screen has been on for hours in loop now... I can not quit it... It is just a massive effort from you and all parties contributed... It is like an never ending scene from a 60s series but just as valid in these times... Joe... you did create something that is beyond the c64 here. The tune remind me of a famous tune, what is that tune? it is one famous tune in there?... perfect it is all together....

Definitely something extraordinary! It's amazing how it all works as a whole, the music adds a lot to the general feeling and makes me want to create my own story around that fabulous picture. And what Frostbyte said... Still I want to say; all you guys involved in this, your work has been noticed big time!! Thank you!!

This is simply outstanding, Joe. Outstanding. I don't think so much has been ever expressed with so few pixels as that gentleman's face on the left. You can see and feel the pressure and stress he's going through, hurriedly walking past the street, thinking about things undone, needing to be somewhere but he's already late. You know, the usual Big City stuff. And that gentleman is just one example of excellence out of many excellences in this picture.

10/10 as a gfx entry. 10/10 soundtrack, hopefully it doesn't go too unnoticed as it is definitely one of the best 3SIDs around. And the top and bottom borders deserve an honorable mention too, they add so much to the overall composition.

.oO(I wish the SID locations were configurable, or hard coded to d400, d420 and d500, cause then I could play this on my real machine..)

Phenomenal release.
Pat Metheny has manifested into this zak with Shogoon's fingers.

Someone needs to do a proper HW 3xSID recording for this one.

@Pal: Set Vice to 2 extra sids at d420, d440.
Shogoon participated the music compo with the same tune, so it should be out soon.

And thanks for your words! Appreciated!

OMG. This is absolutely brilliant. And to see some of those workstages where you alter, redo, reshape, pixel again and again, measure, change and setting pixels per pixels make my heart explode in a great way! 10/10 and further off the scale! In my vice the music do not play?
