Agree with Groepi.
And Gnarls Barkley kicks some serious butts, it's a pity a Crazy-remix wasn't used as the music, I'd really love to hear a C64 version!

if you dont want this kinda stuff to win a compo, just make a better demo. it IS that simple.

in my opinion ~2000 lines of SOURCE CODE declare this as a demo. the datafile is just a little bigger!

always remember that the AUDIENCE votes at partys. so you "jak t rip" should blame them instead of whining around here...

I very much agree with Ptoing. While this is nice to watch and (just as other anims by tri&red) entertains with brilliant musics, it is not a real demo and it is a shame to see stuff like this winning DEMO compos.
And yepp, complete credits would be nice...

Well if it's no secret you could have just mentioned it in before the demo starts or in the credits. No?

actually it's no secret that it's gnarls barkleys - crazy musicvid. i even asked linus before the party if he could do a remix of the tune but the time was to short... so he asked me to use the bruce lee remix instead.

i also showed ppl. at the party that asked for the source of the animation the music video so they'd know what they voted for.

Just compressing and chunkyfing a musicvideo and calling it a demo is rather lame imo. I liked the muisc tho.

this is the final version. i added the pre-buffering to it now. the whole code was done in just a week.

if the anim stops on a real c64 try the failsafe version. it's slower but should work on every setup. the "normal" final did work for me on a oc-118 and 1541-II drive. you also might try to remove your cartdrige.

i also did a version for ide-64. just PM me if you want it or write a mail to tuff (at) c64.org :)
