I keep coming back to this demo as an example of balance between code/music/graphics. The pace of the demo is perfect, fast, but long enough on each effect. And the dithered vectors are the smoothest around, really great work.

Absolutely brilliant demo. It really has something that appeals to all demolovers - the true hardcore (even recordbreaking! :)) code, the design and graphics + great music, and all put together with a nice tempo - never a boring moment.
And I must agree with earlier posters, those dither vectors are just plain awesome!

My whole brain fell silent when I saw the dithered vector. Then I imagined sitting at a demo competition seeing this and not knowing whether to sit in awe or stand and cheer, immediately afterwards I realized emptiness as the true origin of my own mind.

As for the huge rotation/skewing effect: I am always dismayed at how many demo 'technical' achievements can be put down wholly to cleverly organised conjuring tricks. This though, this is just excellent programming.

And I'm a Commodore programmer of 1983, compliments from me are hard to come across.

I must agree with Radiantx. Shaded vectors part is my favourite part right after "inside the cube". When watching the shaded vectors I'm wondering how was it done. Looks like some clever idea.

Big upz for the great music. The bassline has one of the fattest sound I ever heard coming from a SID. The vector part before the endcredits is just amazing. A truly pice of art.

Graham does it again. :) After inventing so much new stuff on the C64 he kicks back with those vectors... Axis' plotrecord & supersmooth "inside vectors" are quite mindblowing aswell. Oys' and Yazoo's excellent graphics are just the icing on the cake for me. During the compo I told Oswald who was sitting next to me: you know Osw, if they win, I wouldn't mind it at all. Ok, maybe a little. :)

Edit: didn't realise the inside vectors were done by Axis. Doh!

After all I must admit that this demo *is* great! Most original c64 demo released at this year's Brepkpoint. Neat design, nice gfx and fresh coding from two of the legendary Oxyron coders (Graham and Axis). Good to see Oxyron kicking some major ass in 2007.
