C disguised as C++, but that's easily fixed ;) Very nice (and small!) tool, finally inspired me to develop my own. | User Comment Submitted by 6R6 on 2 July 2013
The bug appeared when I tried to create a .d64 image using a 368 blocks iffl file. Maybe it has to do with the size of the file. It works fine with the c1541 that comes with vice. | User Comment Submitted by JackAsser on 2 July 2013
I thought the version here was fixed TBH. The bits in each byte in the BAM was reversed. Just add a (7-i) somewhere in that code. Should be easy to spot! :)
Someday I'll upload a new version that also works on Mac OS. I don't use this tool anymore since I joined Booze. HCL assimilated my tool chain and forced his own down my throat. (much to my delight => I don't have to maintain the code). | User Comment Submitted by 6R6 on 1 July 2013
@Jackasser: This tools needs a update or a goof section. The d64 created contains a invalid bam. Files get corrupted when copying more files onto the disk. | User Comment Submitted by Fungus on 23 November 2010
Why do I get a DIR error (71) when I try to save a file to a disk created with this. I thought it was supposed to be better than C1541 :P | User Comment Submitted by Frantic on 22 January 2010
@Jackasser: Maybe it is the virus on your computer that causes it. :) | User Comment Submitted by JackAsser on 21 January 2010
@Peisilulli: Noted. Will dig into it. Sounds like I fucked up then and that it is pure luck it works on Linux and Cygwin then... Thanx! | User Comment Submitted by Peiselulli on 21 January 2010
I have compiled a version for MaxOsX :
If you add before the while loop at line 136 of cc1541.cpp a line containing :
--argc;++argv;
then the internal MacOsX library "getopt" call works at expected ...
No XGetopt.cpp adaption horror needed .
Perhaps this works on Linux too, I have not checked it yet ... | User Comment Submitted by Edhellon on 14 July 2009
This compiles, but doesn't work as-is on OS X. Something goes really weird with the system builtin getopts() call (symptoms as Frantic described :). I have a horribly mutilated hack that uses the XGetOpts.cpp/.h files that seems to work for OS X if anyone is interested. I will debug it properly at some point and send a patch to Jackie. :)

rar, wtf? The Super Larsson Warez Bros strike back! | User Comment Submitted by JackAsser on 22 August 2008
@frantic: Fascinating!!! :D I mean... the function usage() ends with an exit(). How is it possible? Please fix the bug or remove the virus from your computer. | User Comment Submitted by Frantic on 21 August 2008
It compiles just fine on MacOSX. However, when running the tool without parameters, the program seems to corrupt itself (because after execution the binary has a different size). Not that it matters a lot I guess, but.. :) | User Comment Submitted by Axis/Oxyron on 21 August 2008
Great tool! This is exactly what I was searching for the last 2 years. | User Comment Submitted by JackAsser on 20 August 2008
@Jucke: Read the summary. ;D Some how I get the feeling u'll get disappointed by this tool... | User Comment Submitted by Jucke on 20 August 2008
at wok and cant download and check, but am deadly curious. what is this? description please! | User Comment Submitted by WVL on 18 August 2008
OK, I think it all works now :) At least my (read : Krills) loader can read the files stored at tracks 36-40, and all seems good ;) | User Comment Submitted by JackAsser on 18 August 2008
More bugs *sigh*
@p: Yes ofcourse. | User Comment Submitted by Peiselulli on 18 August 2008
Can this tool use the unused blocks in the directory (=track 18) for data ?
| User Comment Submitted by Burglar on 18 August 2008 User Comment Submitted by JackAsser on 18 August 2008
New exe added with some bug fixes (Thanx WVL). Perhaps more fixes will come. The 35-40 track mode is kinda ad-hoc atm. Also added the source. | User Comment Submitted by Burglar on 18 August 2008
jackasser being nice to wevel ;)
but only releasing an .exe? where's the source!
PS: the tool rocks btw |
