My own favourite from the gfx compo. Such a great background!

Computer nerd as I am, I tend to be captured by images/fonts/textures etc that has an aspect of some sort of logic. A mixture of pattern and flow.

WOW!
Joe, this is a surprise! First, I love the techy shading in the face, reminds me of old apple II alike graphics.
But what really impresses me is the way you made the cables in the back more blurry and in the front they are sharp - like a well taken picture. Stunning.

I agree, that's why I paint the stuff I do: Backgrounds, foregrounds etc. I want them as effects and no one of you coders has the imagination...
Better do your homework ;D

You do have to dream more than your silly lda, sta stuff you know :D). I'm just a gfx-man, so all I can blame on is the coders (which are too few in the scene right now)...

I agree with several other comments; the background is fantastic. I want it as a demo effect :P

i showed this pic to a friend of mine who first said that this is too inhuman and cold and not her type. a minute later she was totally hooked by its atmosphere. i felt quite similar though the process seem a bit faster. a drug camouflaged as picture... be ashamed ;-)

Totally amazing! I guess none as achieved such a distinct style as Joe has on this machine. And it looks amazing too!

The background is so disturbing in a positive way, and even more so on a real C64 setup, can't compare to the PAL emulation of Vice at all. Simply awesome!

I liked the background better than the motive.

Great pic, another keeper. :-D BTW, James let me know that this is an original work, no-copy... which makes it even more impressive to me. He said he did it with a graphics tablet, which is my own preferred technique.
