Please remove the .sids from that entry. They belong to the game and the crack intro.

Shark, you're still an ass in 2011? :)

I would suggest you guys get together and make a slideshow/tribute to old games... or make new versions of the games...

However this has nothing to do with THIS release, so maybe take that discussion to the forums?

By the way, this was the first game I asked The Mind Slayer to fix, and at the time, he didn't know how to NTSC. I always thought that once he learned to NTSC that he'd go back and fix this one, but he never did. Stormbringer I don't think ever seriously tried to fix it once he got good as well, although I tried to convince him a few time too. There was something about Minitaur's shit-ass release that took the thunder off any efforts to do it right. Times were like that back then where quality wasn't as paramount. I didn't agree with that philosophy and tried several times to get TMS to fix the damn thing. To express our frustration, Master Kracker and myself would even whistle Tim Follin's music to the game over the phone to TMS. I'm sure that music haunts him to this day. hehe...

I was joking, dork. If TMS claimed that it was impossible to fix, then you must have re-written the game. :) Seriously, though, great work!

No, I did not recode the game in any way. It is a true fix. It runs on both pal and ntsc, and the fix is actually rather small, the only problem was finding space to put it. Thankfully I found some space in a couple places in memory for it.

I could provide the fix if I wanted to and it can be put into any version of the game and work fine, minus all the bugs in the game which we fixed of course.

Well done on conquering this beast... But is it truly a fix if you re-programmed the entire game? It's more like a PAL-to-NTSC port. ;)

/me Oh Noes!

I had such an addiction to the Nintendo version of this game. Then the actual arcade (which I eventually purchased) and soon after, it sat there, collecting dust.

That had nothing to do with this release, but know that I downloaded it and will play it a bit later in the day.

Ksubi: this release as a whole is great.

@ The Shadow: Good? Considering no one could NTSC fix this game up until now, I'd say the fix is great ;)

When loading with IDE64, REU gets ignored, atleast theres no question to depack to REU. When loading from floppy REU option is offered.
