Excellent work by Dflame...they can't really go wrong with him on board. I liked the music in this release. Much better than the moronic techno-rave drivel found in several of the demos which occupy the top 10. I would rather watch a modern attempt at making late 80's to early 90's demo screens, than the 24th cloning of an ID Software 3d engine created for DOS. Could I have another scroller please?
Set to some music that takes me back to when I was 11 in 1985?
Thanks guys!

Code like god?
Knoeki could do it, if only the damn chick was in the right angle...

Enno: I would make the chick with an animated pussy for you,if i could code like god :-)

secret squirrel, the point isn't that there are other demos or intros out there that contain ripped stuff. my point is that if you do stuff in 2008, it simply has to be more than simple scrollers and ripped gfx.

With all the knowledge available today, anyone should be able to come up with better stuff.

anyway, I'll say it again, the pic of the chick in the water is very nice, especially the water around her legs. So, kudos to dflame! You rock dude!

Wise words from Mantiz ! I can list over 1000 demos with stolen routines or stolen graphics here. Its always funny to see people which are able to downvote, but unable to code something.
And yes,its a fun release like all the releases here.
Good music from Richard.Keep it up.

Fun release! I think Richards music alone makes it deserve a higher rating. The woman looks nice too :)

As for people taking credit for apparently ripped stuff, that is probably not the right way to go. The changed Enigma logo looks pretty cool, I think if you would've credited for the original one, it would have been much better received.

Besides that I think the impression of the demo is good, it does not have any major bugs (only I noticed was some minor raster flicker) and runs smooth.

Also, with a little work I think you could have onefiled it to avoid the loading between the parts.

yes you see it right. it's not 1987. nobody must win a contest .
when is your new 2008 c64 style demo coming?
we are waiting ;)

I dunno, but this is actually a pretty lame demo imho. only the chick-pic is nice, but the rest (ripped or not)... puke

I mean, its not 1987 guys

Ofcourse we've used sources from other games/demos. But the real difference is - signing it with your own signature. That is like Laromlamerish.

It has shocked me about the graphics ripping from other sources as I was unaware of this as I never known or saw those other releases before. On a positive note I am pleased with the final result of the demo. It was worth doing the co-op ;)

But please (Crypties) can I get on with more Sub Hunter? The game is more important now. Heheheheheh! :P

@The Phantom: Thanks, but the loader was nothing special to me. All it is, is just a simple loader routine (which is based on the one I added in codebase) that can handle fastload hardware/software (if you installed it from your hardware/disk) and set to any 1541 device number/possible that is using the current disk (I learned it from Commodore Scene). I don't know if this will work on other drives. If you loaded the prog in standard basic. The loader uses black screen and blue lines to show the loading progress.

Damn, another concept I had planned that someone else did first: a demo where everything is ripped. But I guess if I got back to coding, I might not be beaten to it the next time...

Nice oldschool feel. The 2nd part logo looks suspiciously like an Enigma logo found here:

http://www.intros.c64.org/main.php?module=showintro&iid=2144

The flames in the 5th part are from a North East Crackers intro found here:
