Link for V1.1 was dead for a while, release entry for it is now Hessian V1.1 | User Comment Submitted by cadaver on 20 May 2016 User Comment Submitted by Rayne on 10 April 2016
Thank you very much for this great new game which became one of my favourite C64 games now ;) I've seen two different endings already, but not the happy end for now. I need to figure out how to defeat both of the enemies same time I guess.. :) | User Comment Submitted by Comos on 4 April 2016
@Trurl: Yes Autostart works on IDE64 if you have IDEDOS 0.91 and if it's not below $032A. | User Comment Submitted by cadaver on 27 March 2016
Yes, there are multiple endings. | User Comment Submitted by Jupp3 on 26 March 2016
Completed with a time around 2:50, was a good solid game until the end!
Anyway, I guess I must ask now, are there multiple different endings? :P (Actually I do like the ending, just wondering...)
Some "Metroid-like" ending, that was different depending on your success.
In this case, could graphically show various enhancements you managed to find (although it seems that "Breast enhancement upgrade" was missing, or at least I couldn't find it :P) | User Comment Submitted by cadaver on 23 March 2016
Very good points!
The upgrade puzzle is not explained in-game, to strengthen the impression that you're a security guard trespassing on experimental science and have to figure things out on your own. Though a terminal text somewhere explaining it wouldn't hurt.
The autosave has the potential to create also other unwinnable situations if you don't have an earlier save and for example manage to run out of ammo/health/battery deep in dangerous territory. That oxygen example should be preventable by either guaranteeing some oxygen after a checkpoint restart, or disabling save like you say.
Each successive MW game was larger than the previous. Hessian would be on par with MW3 world size and smaller than MW4. Playtime-wise, you can speedrun MW4 faster than Hessian in a minimalist run, whereas completionist runs while knowning where to go in both Hessian & MW4 would be 2+ hours. | User Comment Submitted by Jupp3 on 23 March 2016
Feels like I'm getting closer to the end. Anyway, few minor bugs / improvement ideas: (might contain slight spoilers)
At the point where your oxygen level starts dropping while walking around, it's easy to end up in an impossible situation, where you have 2% oxygen left when you continue after dying (making you hope you had saved recently) - perhaps lock "auto-continue" save to the room, where this started?
Also, oxygen level is dropping while you read any dialogue (I guess that's realistic though :P)
Also, I don't think the upgrade configuration puzzle was explained too clearly. First I thought you only need to make all "points" white (which seemed to be enough in couple of first ones)
...or maybe there was some explanation first time, I somewhat skipped, as it seemed easier than it was later :-)
Great game anyway!
When it comes to the amount of content, how does this compare to Metal Warrior series? They're much bigger, at least. | User Comment Submitted by cadaver on 15 March 2016
It's about 700 screens and typically 2-3 hours of playtime, though longer if you have to wander or explore more for the puzzles. | User Comment Submitted by Jupp3 on 15 March 2016
Fantastic new release!
Postponed until I finally tried this on the real hardware. Played roughly 30mins (game time) and it's getting quite a bit harder already. Wondering how much content you've managed to squeeze to a single disk side :-) | User Comment Submitted by Jak T Rip on 12 March 2016
Wooo?! Some serious Cadaver bits again!! | User Comment Submitted by Richard on 24 February 2016
Nice graphics, great music. The game feels very Ocean like. Great work Lasse + Co. | User Comment Submitted by NecroPolo on 24 February 2016
Awesome game to the bone. Hats off man! I've been playing that since I've downloaded it, superb work.
Also thanks for your invitation for that certain tune, I'm honoured to add that little bit (beat) to this superb project. | User Comment Submitted by DATA-LAND on 24 February 2016
Very professional and exciting game with an excellent graphic! :) A bit "Rolling Thunder", a bit "North Sea Inferno", a bit "Navy Seals" and a bit "Saboteur". I love these kind of games!
It works fine with Ultimate 1541-II and device address #9.
Also i'm a big fan of your "BOFH: Servers under Siege"!
Thanks for your great works! ;) | User Comment Submitted by Hypnosis on 24 February 2016
This looks very professional! Nice packaging and polish. 0 blocks free! | User Comment Submitted by Slajerek on 23 February 2016
Wow, a game released on my birthday, that's awesome. Thanks :) | User Comment Submitted by Shine on 23 February 2016 User Comment Submitted by Doc Strange on 23 February 2016
Amazing action/adventure, really playable and great atmosphere. Definitely a candidate for being one the best games released in the last decade. | User Comment Submitted by PARALAX on 23 February 2016
Finally a really good and well playable C64 action adventure, even for casual gamers with slower reactions. No respawn of killed enemies, different skills, a fair continue system and a elaborate save option with up to 5 save slots - that's how a C64 game should be today. We will review this game to our next "RetroVision" liveshow, probably on Saturday, the 5th March 2016 at 20:00 CET in our videostream on http://www.radio-paralax.de - Stay tuned! | User Comment Submitted by Ksubi on 22 February 2016

What a nice surprise! TOP ! | User Comment Submitted by taper on 22 February 2016
Highly enjoyable game, with a plot line better than most Hollywood movies can offer. Took me quite some hours to complete the game even using trainers, but it was sure worth the time spent. | User Comment Submitted by aNdy on 22 February 2016
Looking forward to playing for the next few days! Good stuff! | User Comment Submitted by abaddon on 22 February 2016
MW4 was a 8 bit action/adventure masterpiece and I fully expect this to reach the same level. | User Comment Submitted by Carrion on 22 February 2016
