I would think the scroll is part sprite, part hires drawing. Onwards to check my theory :)

I'd probably try to use multiplexed 8 sprites in inner scroll area and bitmap redraw on the verges. Is that how it's done? ;)

edit: Scroll has outlines so hmmm.... I was wrong :D

hehe nice trolling Poison. but you need more than 12 sprites in a row for such fx. it's a cool double buffered bitmap magic. hats off for Soci & co.

Yes, although it is a very small release, it is a world-first on the C64. Soci just turned on the 9th to 12th sprites while boosted the CPU to 5MHz. :D
