I can understand why Paul wouldn't bother to finish his own port now. Makes sense to move to something else. This ship has now sailed.

Fix yeah I know FLOAD is fast, that's why I was wondering; simply put, it's used badly here

Just play the non "cracked" version instead... http://c64scene.pl/viewtopic.php?t=2263 . It will load much faster :) Download links on the bottom of the page.

@Lemming: FLoad 2.1 is fast, but if you have lots of small files, it needs to reinitialize for each load = SLOW...

I really like this game a lot, the 'crack' could be better tho. How FLOAD acts so slowly with this one is beyond me. Anyway how 'bout let's see if anyone can onefile it?

Like with Canabalt some years ago, it would be nice to see two finished games competing for the best conversion of VVVVVV, too...

Real shame that this probably killed off any intention of Paul finishing his.

Still, I'll give this one a go as I love the game.

Isn't it "UNCTIO╱VER" ($A317)?

I like everything about this release, thx LXT!

OT/game @paulko: if you were really still considering finishing it, what could be more motivating than some competition, especially if hedning is right and your engine was superior? Go, paulko, go, paulko! I liked your excellent demo version a lot, but can't remember detailedly whether it was better/worse.

Ah. Got it. That explains why it was a bit "unpolished", yes. I thought Paulko finally finished it. Paulko: You can do better. Do it! :) Your prv was indeed smoother and felt better.

@Paulko: You can still do better... and your motivation could not have been too big anyway if you did not touch the project for over 6 years. ;-)

I guess this is what you get when you don't work on a game for over 6 years!
Although it seems all the content is there, it does feel quite unpolished though. And the lack of the original music is unforgiving...
I'm interested in where you got this from... Never heard of "unctiover"

...and you all do understand that any remaining motivation to finish my port is now completely down the drain :(

Appears someone else was inspired by Paulko's attempt and made an own one.
