Moody. Size is a cherry on the pie. Like it! | User Comment Submitted by Hein on 28 October 2017
An excellent condender for a Tiny Sid compo. As a crack intro tune it definately fits as well. Nice atmosphere, love the minimalist sounds. | User Comment Submitted by Stinsen on 27 October 2017
Love the technical achievement and the feeling of the tune. <3 | User Comment Submitted by Bitbreaker on 26 October 2017
If sound would just always eat that little mem and rastertime <3 | User Comment Submitted by celticdesign on 26 October 2017
Somehow an edge case for me. It's awesome in size and pretty atmospheric. It also has a high recognition factor and it's unique. It works very well for mermaids intro style, for e.g. Future 1982, 1987 - A Space Intro or Asteroids Intro.
But somehow I miss a fast pace and more modern sounds (ya I know tables would waste mem) and some melodic parts. Well, I have to revisit this piece and do an up vote for sure... ;-) | User Comment Submitted by Metal on 24 October 2017
Nice achievement there. Couldn't be easy trying to squeeze a tune out in such few bytes. | User Comment Submitted by Soya on 9 October 2017 User Comment Submitted by spider-j on 5 October 2017 User Comment Submitted by cadaver on 4 October 2017
Voting this 100% from a coder standpoint :) The sound isn't bad at all, as it's atmospheric and quite different, but it's impossible to not think of the filesize achievement. | User Comment Submitted by Roysterini on 4 October 2017
Voting 1 and 2 is just silly. | User Comment Submitted by Mekong on 4 October 2017
ZeSmasher, it's not a Mozart cover compo =) You don't criticize Arnie's performance in Commando for not being exactly Oscar candidate, you judge it on its own terms. It's mindboggling having to point it out to c64'ers themselves (all SID music is not exactly Amiga which is not exactly studio engineered sound etc). This one gets 10 from me as a cracker simply because both the size and the mood make it very easy to imagine me actually using it in an intro, or even designing an intro around it. | User Comment Submitted by Smasher on 3 October 2017
judging this one is difficult. if you look at the player and at the size it's amazing, while if you ignore those and just listen to the sound with your ears and closed eyes.. well... it's not Mozart. :) I guess I pass, no voting from me. | User Comment Submitted by TheRyk on 3 October 2017
cr4xX0rz <3 mini tunes like this, 4 sure the most economic/impressive RAM vs music ratio so far | User Comment Submitted by Joe on 3 October 2017 User Comment Submitted by Bacchus on 3 October 2017
Yes. Someone gets the true meaning in an intro tune. That it's not a Rockmon piece if only with 1 minute playtime.
I do have an issue with the last note of the melody, which sounds strange in the end. Is that a emulated player issue or the tune? Not sure how I can convey exactly what I mean.
Still. High five on the work and my clear winner. | User Comment Submitted by Mermaid on 3 October 2017
My own messy routine, yes :) | User Comment Submitted by Jammer on 3 October 2017
Impressive! Your proprietary routine? :) | User Comment Submitted by Mermaid on 2 October 2017
