@radiantx: i think it looks cool, but yes, an ISO sphere would be simpler to compute really. Also visible surface determination would be trivial and as a bonus you would get inner lines and convex hull for free, i.e. only draw each line ONCE then eor-fill. :P

"bad luck then, coz it is fully realtime"
your VSP you mean? :o)

Many calculations and lines... Framerate is as can be expected. I would personally have preferred an isosphere; I think the distortion towards the poles is extremely ugly... But I get where you're coming from. :-)

very good code - but it gets boring really quick since there is not so much happening on the screen that would keep one watching for longer.

Balls to the wall! I accept.

Now this is fast! ...isnt it? This is really among the best vector routines on the c64, so i must conclude that this machine is not build for that kind of part! Cruizer, you are the king of smooth as stein has appointed you and we all follow that... cant you make a routine with your smoothness standard that blast the vector discussion once and for all? Put that helmet from your fb photo on and just make it.

I vote 9 for this as i just understand that it is really fast and just super code.

love it, the vsp really helps the slow framerate. the linedraw & eorfill is probably not maxed out. we've seen seimilar amount of faces in the same size in EOD runing faster. cool design aswell.

I really want to like this, but it somehow falls a bit short for me. While I LOVE the sphere, the movements and everything about it, it just didn't grab my "I WANNA CODE THAT" bone.

It's not all a bust either. Being real time, man....

@groepaz: bad luck then, coz it is fully realtime, all 114 vertices transformed and rotated and zoomed, all 64 red faces culled :-) The 64 white faces are filled with beer froth.
