sweet motherfucker, this quality is astonishing O_O
(i'd be delighted if the technique resulted in an editor of sorts, for those handicapped codewise) | User Comment Submitted by LMan on 17 June 2021
Holy awesomeness! How could I miss this? | User Comment Submitted by Flotsam on 10 June 2021 User Comment Submitted by Frantic on 10 June 2021
Thanks w4rp8 for pointing me here. I had missed this one. It is cool! Tero for the win! :D | User Comment Submitted by w4rp8 on 10 June 2021
Impressive routine and track! | User Comment Submitted by ChristopherJam on 29 January 2019
Ah, this is excellent. Nice write up in VN#67, too. | User Comment Submitted by Jammer on 2 May 2018
How come it ended up with such rate? For whole ingenuity behind the playback it's a crime! | User Comment Submitted by deetsay on 26 November 2017 User Comment Submitted by TheRyk on 14 October 2017 User Comment Submitted by Apollyon on 14 October 2017
This is haaard, I like it! Reminds me of my own Fasttracker and Skaletracker experiments, perfect and confusing but recognizable name for the tune :) | User Comment Submitted by Naku on 8 October 2017
mindblowing, awesome track <3 | User Comment Submitted by Digger on 8 October 2017
Increaudible! Amen loop still holds tight. Reminds me of my own FT2 experiments back in the days. | User Comment Submitted by deetsay on 8 October 2017
Hehe sorry, the ".XM" in the name is a joke, I was just trying to come up with a provocative title for the compo..
It's all programmed and composed in assembler, I started working on it a few weeks ago after talking to you about modern love classics, actually, because you said there is no editor. ;-) | User Comment Submitted by Jammer on 8 October 2017
So I assume original XM has to be composed in appropriate way to construct main loop data which mixes down majority of original channels? | User Comment Submitted by Oswald on 8 October 2017
love this crazy SID revolution thats going on these years. | User Comment Submitted by deetsay on 8 October 2017
I think there's only 8 channels used now (chord=3,bass,pwm-sound,blops,beeps and amen), but at this volume it's not distorting too bad yet. The SID ch3 waveform output doesn't have the envelope multiplied yet, so the sounds are pretty on/off... However, sync and ringmod are working (as proven) | User Comment Submitted by chatGPZ on 8 October 2017 User Comment Submitted by deetsay on 8 October 2017
THCM mixes 4 sample channels I guess? This is pretty different, there's a 40k loop that's playing, and stuff is mixed into the loop. Sounds can be mixed in from samples OR SID channel #3 :-). And the loop can be overwritten as well.
Using the Soundemon 8-bit sample player from codebase64, obviously. | User Comment Submitted by Jammer on 8 October 2017
Dafuq? :D How does is compare to THCM technically? | User Comment Submitted by deetsay on 8 October 2017
13.6kHz unlimited channels ;-) | User Comment Submitted by Jammer on 8 October 2017
Wow, what are specs for the routine? :O | User Comment Submitted by Isildur on 8 October 2017 User Comment Submitted by Mixer on 8 October 2017
There is something really cool going on in this. Amen. |
