Yes, Higgie, I am talking about that logo. Never saw the preview. Your firewall was too tough to crack.... ;)

I was never a big fan of isometric stuff, especially as non-scene people mostly associate pixel-graphics with huge overstuffed cubical landscapes, but it's really nice to see a similar 3d style on C64. I love your works, Higgie! <3

thanx again for the comments and votes!

@style: I wouldn't call it "gay", but you are right! I will put some more effort into hiding my signature if not leaving it out. :)

@motion: you are talking about this one (Farewell Crypt), aren't you? or are you one of the few people who have seen an early version of this pic, which in fact featured a crypt logo?

@sander: it's just too much!!! I need a break from isometric gfx after watching that eboy page for less than two minutes! ;) it's just PWP(tm) [Pixeling Without Purpose]! I believe in c64 demos beeing the natural environment for pixel gfx. :)

@helm: the term "fitting aesthetic" never came to my mind! but it is well appreciated! ;)

awesome, awesome pic, but please stop signing your art as its gay and distracting.

Thankyou.

Really nice indeed. I didn't see this one coming, having your previous picture in the back of my mind. And indeed isometics has been used in the 80ties, claimed by Eboy ( http://hello.eboy.com/eboy/index.php ) in the 90ties and still used in 2006 :) The technique remains wonderful. Some shameless plugs... Rewinder X and Singles Collection Volume 1.
However, this implementation of the technique, combined with the circle shapes does feel sort of fresh, unlike the above mentioned implementation. Gogo Higgie!

Wow! Thanx! I'm shocked! I didn't expect such an amount of positive reactions. It's overwhelming! :)

thanx for your comments:
MRT, Scout, icon, Zyron, Quetzal, tempest, Leon, oyiseer, ...

and much bigger thanx to those who made their votes public! PUBLIC VOTING IS A MUST!!!

@Ed: You got 100 points! Spindizzy is one of the games that I got first together with my c64 and it's one of the games I played most back then. but everybody who has seen my picture so far had different associations. to my luck mostly positive ones, as it seems! ;) ... oh, and I didn't notice the one by Spot/Triad. It's cool! And it's a shame that it is displayed for just a second in the respective demo!

@radiantx: Yes, I've heard of that kind of communities. I prefer the csdb community! <3 ... isometric demoparts will rule the scene for the next five years!!! :)

@JackAsser: We share the same vision! :) And believe it or not, the programming once started. but when the phantom (The Phantom) left crypt I lost interest in doing a demopart using this picture. btw: the pic you see now is quite different from the one that the phantom started to code with. ... and when is the S:T Lars meeting? ... you know: time is my master :( and I'm a very slow guy when it comes to gfx. ;)

@Devia: "What's this?" ... It's somebody walking from the grey into the green! :)

@Jucke: If I would have this game I couldn't give it to you, sorry! I would keep it for my first firstrelease which will happen when I finally managed to learn cracking. ;)

@Skate: Thanx! I wasn't feeling that optimistic myself during the last few days. But comments like yours made my day! :)

@Thunder.Bird: Thanx for posting on c64.sk! ... and who owns the trademark on megapixelFX? I want to buy it! ;)

@Frantic: Well, you're right! ;)

Nice to see this style on the C64. Mostly seems to be employed at various "pixel" communities, otherwise... I'd like to see it animated - will probably have to code an isometric demopart later, because of this. :-)

I love it and I vision a demo part with this picture with those cubes flashing in various patterns etc making it an ûber censor-part. :D

Say... you don't wanna to gfx for the next S:T Lars meeting invite? Isometric gfx is the main theme for S:T Lars. ;)

If this was 1987 and I would be in a schoolyard and some kid would show me this screenshot and go -"i have this game - wanna have it?" I would eat dog turds to get a copy. Quite amazing picture. I love it.
