Fantastic release! Never played the "original", but after playing Ultima V, it's easy to believe how much more painful it would be... Never really got into any Ultima series game in 80's and 90's, felt like there were several reasons, but after starting and continuing to play this for quite a while, I believe in the end it was just lack of documentation and loading times & constant disk swapping.

Seems that magic spheres respawn on game load, it's quite easy to exploit this now that you CAN save in the dungeons, simply touch the sphere with one character, save, restart, touch with another etc. :-)

Easyflash version, that would rock! Also EF versions of U5, BT3, Dragon Wars and Wasteland please! ;-)

Incredible release of the greatest computer game *ever* made. Everyone who truly understands Ultima IV knows it is something special. I would love to see an Ultima V with working music for the C64, not just the 128. The only thing U5 lacked (on the 64) was music. It was still unprecidented.

FMan, complaining about a 105% release that the cracker didn't go for the 110% is a bit weird. The game plays like 18.5 times more fluid now than before, calling it "useless" is a bit harsh.

I'm really disappointed. When I saw this, I thought someone had finally done a diskless version of the game and expected to see it fixed for either MMC or REU. This is useless for me...

Yes, awesome 'remake'! :)
Works like a charm and amazingly fast even on standard 1541-setup. No time to gather personal mana during loading anymore ;)
Will continue to love this...

I *LOVE* RPGs of all kind and have very fond memories of U4. Will transfer that to 1571 and play it right off the spot! Thanks Magervalp!
