Mesmerizing! Hypnotic! And quite original, too! That style, the looping tune (and demo). I found myself watching it two times in a row, i was just unable to move, just staring at the screen! 8)
It's got something WD'ish to it (and for me that's a good thing! 8) and it could well be the precursor for a new trend in Demos on the c64...
Nothing awe-inspiring like that hugeass twisting scroller the Larsson Bros made, but it doesn't need this, since it's extremely homogenic and well worked out from beginning to end!

daring and cool design, my fave is the balls bouncing on the "dycp" screen. its quite something we havent seen so far. but the $3fff bug quite ruins it, why wasnt it set to #$00 ?

Very good concept. I think the originality of this demo made it a winner. However at around the halfway, the demo felt repetitive and got a bit boring. Btw, nice to see Iopop back.

interesting effect choices. we have seen similar effects like bouncing balls in 90s. it seems like using effects which haven't been used for 10+ years worked this time. I really enjoyed these effects.

Not that it matters much, but this being the winner of the compo leaves me with a feeling of "I don't get it" - even though I like distortion effects as much as the next guy. I can see that there are some cutting edge elements here, but I don't think it has the graphics and especially not the music to match. Had this been voted second or third, it would have made more sense to me. But there you go. Democompos. ;)

I voted this #1 because of its daring and innovating style and atmosphere, and i guess it was influenced by a hole bunch of good demos like Borderline, Industrial Breakdown, etc, that i already adore. I didnt expect this one to win really, just like Borderline didnt win on LCP 2004, but it did. For once the crowd had a sense of justice. Thanks CMP. Thanks again iopop.

the soundtrack is a disgrace, the demo is colourless, only the balls are worth watching, and the splines drag on for far too long. i voted this last.
