The picture depicts Japanese actress Meiko Kaji in "Female Prisoner Scorpion: Jailhouse 41" from 1972.
"All the work was done in Timanthes, I used original screenshot to get the rough outlines and correct placement for certain face parts - getting the symmethry angles right from scratch would've caused me hard times as the face position is tilted - and all the rest was replaced or recontructed pixel by pixel. When comparing the result against original image most of the key elements are still there but pay attention to how it's done: Shadowing is totally simplified instead of using dithering, all the opaque parts are either gone or made solid and overall contrast has been toned up to give it that curvy but still detailed look. Some of the loose hair was redrawn in freehand mode to give 'em "more air" and balance the screen better due to realigned face, idea to add logo - which is actually the original title card from movie in question - into the picture came afterwards and it was partially layered to be both behind and over the hair to avoid flattened look."
