This looks great! I hope people don't expect us to all release our unfinshed game-projects here as is. I'd rather keep them secret till motivation comes back to finish them ;)

Seriously, why is the conversion of the raycaster to bitmap so slow? You only need to update the colors, which is character based...

A good example of why you shouldn't ever dump unfinished projects. This one really has got potential imho, I especially like how the engine handles visibility and mapping. As you say yourself, a few things could be faster. However, even if you recode it from scratch one day, the mere room data might be used. Can't see why this is a fake game (one of the most funny categories anyway) and not a game preview. It's an unfinished game engine to my mind. Guess you didn't want to arouse expectations and avoided preview for that reason.
