If you're going to use multicolour it should probably be anti-aliased. | User Comment Submitted by celticdesign on 29 July 2013
looks a bit like sprite characters. some chars (already mentioned by others here) doesn't work for me, but all in all it's an awesome set. | User Comment Submitted by Jak T Rip on 29 July 2013
Is the screenshot zoomed or is this multicolour? Why so blocky? | User Comment Submitted by CreaMD on 29 July 2013
Most of us probably looked into the code for scrolltexts anyway... | User Comment Submitted by TheRyk on 29 July 2013
Hmh, sorry, but imho readybility DOES matter.* I like the shapes, and all in all, it is good, but not very good, maybe it needs to be extended on the y-axis for improvement.
Besides what Didi, Kristian and others already mentioned, not only do g/p (<-- would be fun for a GxP logo lol) and q /a and u/v/w look pretty much the same but also the digits must really be meant as a joke showing "g" once again as 9 and b as 6 and you will definitely need one line more than a quadrangle to display an 8 if you want that SOMEbody takes it for an 8.
So what CreamD said, overhaul it, maybe with resolution on y axis +1.
*(old "from 80s till today nonstop sceners" will tell you quite the opposite: If the charset is unreadable, just speed it up and totally mess up the colors, scrolltexts are not supposed to be read, especially not by lamers whining about the charset, anyway...) ;) | User Comment Submitted by CreaMD on 28 July 2013 User Comment Submitted by Kristian on 28 July 2013
I would have worked more on some of the letters like b/6, g/q/9, s/5, z/2, y/4, 8, k & m. K and M because they are capitals while the others are small letters, 8 because it doesn't look like an 8 at all and the rest of the letters mentioned because they look too much like eachother.
A genereal comment not only for this font but also for a few of the other fonts is the choice to use a few big letters while the others are small (and opposite). Kinda ruins the experience for me.
I think this font got potential, but needs more work. | User Comment Submitted by iAN CooG on 28 July 2013
i said it reminds me of that font, not that it's that one | User Comment Submitted by Xenox on 28 July 2013
IAN CooG: Nope, the charset was made for this Release (Colours), check out the intro, it was a bigger charset i made years ago...! Now, i made a similar and smaller one...! | User Comment Submitted by Dr.j on 28 July 2013
Nice font Xenox! keep the cool work mate | User Comment Submitted by iAN CooG on 28 July 2013 User Comment Submitted by The Syndrom on 28 July 2013
the resolution looks a little blocky - is it multicolor ? | User Comment Submitted by Didi on 28 July 2013
Hm... Z/2 and Y/4 look very similar to each other and I would have problems to read the 8. |
