Usually not my cup of tea but this one got me hooked.. Very nice "mind painting" throughout the whole tune. Job well done Psycho-man! | User Comment Submitted by TheRyk on 3 December 2013
would work well in another of those socially critical cyperpunky end time screen one file demos :) | User Comment Submitted by Testa on 3 December 2013
a lot of creative sounds and instruments, the bass is very deep and heavy, i learned something about the endless capabilities of the sid... nice stuff... | User Comment Submitted by Xiny6581 on 3 December 2013
I love it! Honestly it's a trip through lots of chapters without any starts or ends. The beat feels good and all the twinkling sounds are like small coocoons filled with different substance, to make you feel the lust to trip deeper into the crazy soundscape.
For me this is like an expressive painting, but made with musicallity!
More of this dude! 10/10 | User Comment Submitted by psych on 3 December 2013
@wackee
One can have his own definition of what is experimental. Therefore, experimental doesn't have to mean boring and repetitive. For me it was a journey and that explains "trip" in the title. Different patterns are there to tell the story.
Nevertheless, I know your passion to experiments and I thank you for your highly appreciated criticism. | User Comment Submitted by Fresh on 2 December 2013
Very original instruments and interesting bass experimentations. | User Comment Submitted by wacek on 2 December 2013
I love experimental SIDs. I love experimental music in general :)
And this one has a lot of cool weirdness in the beginning, and the middle, but towards the end the sounds "on the in" get more and more detached from the sounds "on the out", and that starts to appear to me more and more random. Like in the last minute or so you had some ideas for patterns, that sounded good on their own, and you throw them in just to utilize them. There is no feeling of consequence and flow, at the end that is. Especially that low-bass sound, and the lovely bleeps afterwards ;)
I hope you understand what I mean, and take it as constructive criticism ;) | User Comment Submitted by Conrad on 2 December 2013
I had to listen to it a few times to fully appreciate it. Certainly a lot different to your other work. :) | User Comment Submitted by psych on 2 December 2013
Thanks Archmage! I know that experimenting with sid music isn't so popular like experimenting with C64 graphic, but I don't mind, I just simply love it :) | User Comment Submitted by Archmage on 2 December 2013
Weird and moody. I like it! |
