This tool tries to fix old, slightly faulty disks which have bad sectors.

The disk fault remains on the surface of course, but the sectors are carefully placed to the good area around it.

The effectiveness is therefore limited. There should be only one fault on a single track and it must be small, so that there's still enough space for holding the data.

Fortunately most of my faulty disks are within this limits, and now got a second chance to live.

This software tries hard to make sure that the resulting disk is as reliable as possible. But some faults might still remain if there are marginal disk areas.

In case it's impossible to format a working disk it will try anyway forever. Please turn it off if it takes too long ;)
