@Marq: In fact I already tried coloring the picture before I posted my comment - thanks to your editor's reference/convert -feature. This is what came of it.

Awesome! My favorite movie and favorite computer working together.

It'd be cool to talk all of your Star Wars images and make a slide show program...

@Debris: Totally agree on that.

IMO white and light grey are too far apart when making a smooth surface (especially in Petscii), it requires a midrange color for smoothing (i.e. yellow). Didn't want to make this a colorful one (like the last one), so left it like this, dark and grim.

White is so punchy that it stands out a bit too much IMO: http://www.kameli.net/~marq/stormilaiset2.png
In case you wanna try out changing the colors yourself, here's an editor file: http://www.kameli.net/~marq/stormilaiset.c

Great shapes! But I feel that the picture desperately needs more colors and shades. I'd think that the troopers would look a lot more awesome if the brightly lit parts of the armor were actually white, for example.

Oswald raises an interesting point about modern displays. But then again, this could have been viewed on an SX-64, which again would have made it look better ;)

Great Petscii, BTW

great one again, but on thought hit me:

anyone looked at this on a normal CRT? I guess much of the greatness factor can be contributed to the stamp size of 320x200 on todays' displays.
