to make it a patch to VICE the extra work will *take* 5 to 10 years =)

slajerek: 2.4.28 was tagged the other day, so you can take that - or better yet, use the SVN version - that should also make it easier to track changes. ideally make a minimum patch to just the vice tree that you can redo before moving the vice tree into your project.

Or rather, submit it as 'patch' to vice <3
Seriously. Extra work will pay off in like 5-10 years :)

I guess the latest revision from -
http://vice.pokefinder.org/
is OK.

@Groepaz @Fungus
I selected 2.4 only because it is marked as "stable" on Vice's page, I know it is quite old :)

I'll try to patch sources to include recent Vice version, but which one to choose? 2.4.28?

I am interested if you would also do this with a recent version of vice, 2.4 is very outdated.

@Digger: yes, I had such plan to have a demo / screencast video with this release, but last-time polishes had higher priority ;) will definitely do this!

@Conjuror: thanks! I'm going to put your ideas into life, the wish list is still open ;)

@Slayerek: Would you be able to record some sort of screencast with feature walkthrough? :)

Fantastic! Love the chip status view and the raster position display.

This is like icu64 on steroids!

I'd like to see more control from the command line so project specific actions could be taken such as write the memory to file for a specific set of frames, zoom and view specific memory areas (custom views of this? ;-)).

Thanks for your great work!

i wonder how much work it would be to use a recent VICE with this.... because you really dont want to use 2.4 for developing anymore :)

Hello dear Commodore 64 hackers!

I'm proud to present a brand new tool called C64 Debugger. This is Commodore 64 and 1541 Drive code and memory debugger that works in real time. It is for quick prototyping on Commodore 64 machine and its internals. C64 Debugger embeds VICE v2.4 C64SC emulation engine created by The VICE Team. This is a standalone binary and no VICE files are needed to run this.

I've been working on this over last weekends and I think finally it is mature enough to be released to the public for the first time.

I hope that you will have a nice fun. Enjoy!
