@sailor: thanks for the info. I'm afraid tough it would not fit the small 1K I used to install de-cruncher and fast-loader routines and that is actually located in Video-Ram $0400. It's transferred before every load from RAM under I/O AREA $D000 which is the only safe place not touched by games code. Some games uses also portions of RAM from $E000, others uses all RAM till $CFFF so I guess I did the correct choice.
