which is still flagged for 8580 in the .sid file, you may want to fix it ;)

On second listen, this is just too fantastic not to give it a 10. What a great melody by a great melody master.

Very very nice indeed. Tune is simple, instruments are frankly stunning. One waveform to produce so much variety. Sounding like more than 3 channels, without obvious cutting out of instruments. Reverb/Delay effect is very well executed. Over-hyped? Not sure how, as expertise to create something like this goes way beyond fast arps and samples on the 3rd channel in my opinion. Congrats to you both.

The tune have been on in loop here for some hours now... it is a splendid tune to do pixels with. Thank you so much for this one!

Well Ian, I must say I loved this compo. Working within tight limits is major part of the fun of our scene. Considering the composition was originally intended for sine-wave only, it sounds exactly as it's supposed to sound.

Melody-wise is really nice, now it would be better to make a full fledged version that takes _advantage_ of the SID capabilities instead of imposing more limits to an already limited yet powerful chip. No, I don't like this compo at all.

A tim Follin feel over this one, must be super insane tight to make this kind of quality within the limits of this compo... Absolutely adore this tune. Thumbs up all the way. I find it way strange to debate if this would get high votes for the names connected and group name release, this is a splendid song no matter who created it!

Well if it's not your cup of tea, that's fine with me. However assuming everyone else is just name-voting, that might be assuming too much. :-)

LMan, you know I sincerely love your early SID explorations, but this... Sigh! In all honesty, I guess everything with Hubbard or Tel brand (TM) will be instantly considered brilliant no matter what the actual content is. I'm with Oswald on this one. Even considering the channel optimization, it feels blatantly overrated.

Yeah, 8580 please (there is a tiny hint at the bottom right of the screen).

If you're listening in Vice 3, please set the filter bias to -2500 to get close to ordinary 8580 sound.

Jeroen is my hero, but this tune feels overhyped.

Submitted by Marq on 3 March 2018
8580 only? Sounds rather strange at least in VICE with a 6581.

> "there is a lot of trickery going on to make it sound like 4 solid channels playing simultaneously."

Mission accomplished with max bonus score in my opinion. :D
