Very playability doesn't suffer too much - gameplay is fluent after all. Biggest problem are all sprite related bugs. Fixing them with samples on is level hard definitely but I won't give up ;)

what Cadaver wrote, again : you are the boss and you know what is better ! , but if there is limitation of the racing playbility (aka engine) b'coz of the digi samples/sound (3+1 digi right?) so maybe drop it and fix it later . my 2cent

Good point, of course. I've been suggested to abandon samples couple of times and thought of it myself as well. I tried with non-sampled engines before as well, but couldn't emulate 2 voices reasonably with regular synth. Nevertheless, as game is still per-frame responsive, I stick to samples until I approach the wall I won't be able to jump over ;)

As much as I love the sound, if the game is already at its limit because of the digi engine sound, then removing it would be the tempting option :)

But I guess that's not an option.

At the end of the day, I suspect most users appreciate a solid game more, than just the tech effort.

Some glitches are almost impossible to remove because of samples but I'll try as much as I can :D

hehe love these glitches and ghost cars in the distance. Kudos: Super sweet music and pretty decent gfx, go fix those bugs and make it a really great racer!

First thing I'd like to pull off is finished preview with complete and relatively bugfree 'Off They Go' level :) I should be ready with that in a month or less. At least I hope so xD

I guess Oswald didn't mean the feel of TO. Rather his impressions on music vs playability xD I don't entirely agree with him, though ;) Game is technically different from anything else on C64.

Thank you! You can always count on me in audio department, if you need some ;) I'm not very experienced in 'heroic metal' but maybe other genres are welcome too? ;)

Bug that happened right before deadline is actually fixed (otherwise road sprites wouldn't be displayed at all). Too bad everything else is not fixed ;) But will be (as much as nmi/samples allow for).
