The demo was made over a period of 3 months and was the first new code that Raistlin had developed on C64 since leaving the scene back in 1992.

Circle Scroll: this part revisits an effect that I made for Delirious 10 back in 1990-91. For Delirious 11, I've optimised the effect using some clever offline tricks to reduce the number of overlapping writes (ie. reducing the need for OR'ing the data) as well as a restructuring of the output code to be cleverer about how adjacent chars are looked up. Together the optimisations opened up enough frame time that I could add in a near-full-screen logo scroll. I believe the circle scroll is a world record of some sort - but I'm not sure which. There are 96 bobs used with a 6x5 pixel font.

Diagonal Bitmap Scroller: This effect uses almost the entire 64k of memory. So much so that we had to choose a tune that used less memory than the main demo tune... and we had no memory spare for adding anything on top of the bitmap - even though we had spare CPU time to do something... Razorback did a stellar job on creating the bitmap. Raistlin hadn't coded the part before the bitmap was started - and nearly had a heart attack when he realised how close the whole thing was to not fitting in memory (imagine having to tell Razorback after all his work if it wasn't going to work..)
