anyway, i don't think there is an official way (yet) to get rid of it, but you can patch the .exe @ position $DC, $03 --> $02
yeah, iknow, it's a bit of a hack, but who cares.
as for the icons... there are none, you could add them manually if really needed, using some tool like resource hacker. |

Just tried on Win10:
- Awful default colors. Only ptoing palette comes close to what I remember as correct.
- Aspect ratio is awful on a 1280x1024 display. Disabling true aspect ratio fixes it. (I know this is no up to standard screen resolution.) |

Thanks Ian, yes sorry forgot that that option helps.
Tried "Glacial Blues" (Glacial Blues) and that one heavily distorts at like 0:07. Tried a gain of 90, but that did not help much or none. |

Just downloaded the latest nightly from pokefinder and tried vsid.exe after quite some time again.
Listened to some SIDs from Toggle, and found that i need to set the BIAS from -3000 to +3000 to get a somewhat non broken sound.
But still when i play Toggle's "Kicks_Like_a_M.U.L.E" (Kicks Like a M.U.L.E.) the bass(drum) sound sounds totally broken with a click or distortion or something like that. Esspecially from like 0:25 on..
Tried fiddling with the other values, but could not get it to work.
Emulation is ReSid + Resampling.
And the basic start screen still looks scaled with uneven letters.. |
