I tried to recreate your problem but on Vice 3.1 or even real hardware (three different systems) it did not happened. So what's your system configuration?
By the way, when pressing Run/Stop to exit the rapid news 6 I see for a second the same as your snapshot, but not on a text page change... No gerydots at all
